The “Moondance” & “Yin-Yang” cabins share the same size & floor plan. Both sleep six comfortably. “Yin-Yang” has no stairs to the 1st floor, The “Moondance” has 3 steps to the 1st floor. The 1st floor of both cabins has a full kitchen, Dining room table that seats 6, one bedroom with a queen sized bed, full shower bath with washer & dryer. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa & TV with DVD player. Your front & side doors walk out to your covered porch, with your gas grill & Hot Tub, just 2 steps away. Your campfire & wood / charcoal grill is outside to your riverside yard. Upstairs to the loft has an open railing with an Incredible River view. In loft bedroom, a queen sized bed with a full bath complete this Wonderful pair of “Twin” cabins. They each have an Incredible up River & down River view, your own ‘lil slice of Heaven on the River’s edge, in the Hoosier National Forest. Your view over the River is to the East, watching Gorgeous Sun & Moon rises! A full Moon night, the entire River transforms to ‘Moon River’,…it’ll knock your socks off. WEEKDAYS: Monday – Thursday $220.00 per night for the 1st two people. Additional guests are $17.00 each, per night. WEEKENDS: Friday – Sunday $230.00 per night for the 1st two people. Additional guests are $17.00 each, per night. MAJOR HOLIDAYS: $245.00 per night for the 1st two people. Additional guests are $18.00 each, per night. THERE IS A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM ON HOLIDAYS. THERE IS A 4 PERSON MINIMUM ON HOLIDAYS.

Relaxing and Cozy

Tranquil property right on the river. Despite the bad weather Mother Nature decided to bring during our stay, it was still a great getaway with peace, and relaxation. The hot tub was a nice touch to enjoy on the front porch watching the river and all the birds feeding from the birdhouse. Was just right for what we needed.

A little peace and quiet

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Moondance cabin. This is the second time we have stayed at this cabin. It’s so relaxing sitting on the deck, looking at the Ohio River, watching the barges on the river and listening to the chimes. Such relaxation.

Last minute weekend getaway

This cozy cabin is perfect for 2 couples. The views are wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the porch swing and rocking chairs. The evenings around the fire pit were magical. Watching the barges go up and down the Ohio River is simply relaxing. Thanks, Bud! We’ll be back.

A Little Bit of Heaven

This was a beautiful setting, with a large deck facing the river. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with large windows viewing the river. Everything we needed was provided. We did not cook any meals, so I can't say anything about cooking items. There is no question about us returning for another visit, we definitely will. Thank you Bud and Marcia for a wondertime.

Relaxing

Beautiful property. Great view of the Ohio River. Absolutely LOVED sitting on the back porch, swinging and listening to my music while watching the boats and jet skis pass by. Note… you cannot sit off the edge of your back porch and cast off into the River to fish. You cannot fish from this property. Took 1 star off of cleanliness because the hot tub water was sketchy. There was no way that was fresh City water in that tub, and if your charging an extra hot tub fee then by God make sure the water is sparkling clean.

Hi Jessica! I want to assure you that your CLEAN & Private Hot Tub was emptied, disinfected, & refilled with New City Water! This is a Mom & Pop business, we are not turning our cleaning over to a 3rd party & hoping they get it right. We are at the tail end of the city water line coming from Patoka. Despite regular main line flushings by our water company, We sometimes experience a yellowish tinge to the water which is dead chlorine. I assure you that your tub was completely Emptied, DISINFECTED, & Re-Filled with New City Water, despite your sketchy assumption,..."By God". Thanks Sincerely, Bud Colucci, owner, builder, & Hot Tub Cleaner,..."By God".

Poor Customer Service

Owner took off for the weekend and was not available to assist us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin - something that can happen to anyone. Without contacting us to discuss anything, he then attempted to charge us for damage to the property we never caused and insulted us on our physical size stating that we were definitely not petite. We even left a tip for housekeeping, stripped the sheets, did the dishes, emptied the trash, and collected the dirty towels. The cabin was completely NOT sprayed outside for spiders as they were everywhere. Want to enjoy the hot tub? Better hire an exterminator first, they were crawling all over the back deck and hot tub cover. We have had IMPECCABLE ratings and always treated properties with the utmost respect. He should have contacted us first to discuss his concerns, instead we see a bill from him - judgment and sentence pronounced, case closed. One would have expected a more reasonable approach to communicating, as well as better protocol for reaching a live on site person at his compound. We got a text saying he was out of town, that's it.

Fall weekend at Moondance Cabin

The cabin had big, beautiful windows and it was very spacious for my husband and our two fur babies. It was fantastic weather and was very relaxing watching the barges and river activity on the deck.

The pictures do not do the view justice. It is beautiful there! Sitting on the deck and looking out at the water was just the relaxation we needed.

Girlfriend Getaway

We loved it from the moment we got there. All the essentials you need. Movies, games, a puzzle, lots of food. There was not a good view of the moon either night so I plan to come back for that river experience. We did see a lot of barges on Saturday. Squirrels and lots of birds. Weather was a little cold so we stayed inside and did not do a fire but next time we will.

We enjoyed a long weekend visit to the area. Place had a great view and cabin feel. Hot tub was nice amenity. Local bar and restaurant just reopened a mile down the road. Must say all the locals were very friendly, enjoyed learning about the area. We will be back.

Perfect weekend getaway!

The perfect New Year’s getaway! Quiet, relaxing and beautiful scenery. The hot tub was perfect to use over the cold weekend. And being able to watch the barges go by day and night was so neat!

Overall great. I would suggest there be a few more things in the rental such as olive oil and sugar. We could only find a extra blanket and the nights were chilly but the hot tub and grill and the view was great!!! Also a little bit more explanation on pet policy. We had a friend stop by with a small dog for 2 hours and understandable they wanted some pet money. This was unexpected on my part and Bub was willing to negotiate. Oh, and the stairs in need some attention. But as I stated this was all in all a great experience and would recommend highly!

Fabulous stay on the river

It is a very scenic spot right on the Ohio River. The most relaxing trip I’ve had in a while. Bud and Michelle do a great job taking care of all the details. Plenty of linens, paper products, and even down to the supplies for morning coffee. Well equipped kitchen. I would advise bringing all of your groceries as it is a long way to the nearest grocery store. Six stars in my book! Highly recommend.

Beautiful view

Cabin was real nice. And the view was great. The kids loved seeing the barges pass throughout the day and evening. Firepit was also in a good location, we used it to cook on a couple meals. We wish you could fish off the property, but the bank is to steep for that. But we fished at rainbow lake which was 7 miles away from the cabin. And if you want to be in the middle of nowhere this place is perfect for you.
