Sandy Paws had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the hot tub and short walk to the beach! Pros : - Great location- ease of checking in and out- plenty of space for our family and dog- short walk to the beach- pet friendly and was cleanCons:- honestly none!

It was very conveniently located and had everything we need for a comfortable stay. Great for pets but the sand burrs (which we know are just a part of the beach!) in all of the grassy space around the house were quite a challenge for our little dog’s paws so potty breaks involved walking down the road to a gravel lot (not a problem for us at all, but just an FYI if you have mobility issues.)

However, the appliances are old, fridge had pieces falling off, mini-blender/chopper did not work, and there weren't enough cookware sizes (no cookie sheets or large pots other than massive crab pots). The 2 chairs in the living room were horrible though - narrow and uncomfortable!! The beds were cheap motel types and uncomfortable, although clean and covered in plastic for cleanliness.The house was clean as welland nicely decorated.Loved the elevator for moving in and out!! I hope the owners consider replacing the kitchen pots and pans to assure big families have the nicer cookware.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While we were pleased with Beach Realty, the location of the property, beach access and the swimming pool we had some issues. First off the kitchen is terribly understocked. If you are renting a house with 5 bedrooms there should be more utensils. There are NO teaspoons in the house at all. The internet service was also very bad. It took 3days to figure out how to use the dryer because the vent hose was not connected properly. I would not be interested in renting Sandy Paws again.

Reviewer Comments: What a great place!The rental company did a very good job of communicating with us, answering our questions beforehand, and dealing with any issues during the stay. The online (app) and paper information provided clear directions for use of the rental property.The house was in a good location and in good condition. The elevator worked smoothly and was an asset in a three level house! The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and the fencing provided privacy from neighboring houses. There was ample parking. We had three cars and could easily turn cars around within the parking area without going onto the main highway.There was a slight glitch with Internet access but a phone call solved the problem. Several more poolside lounge chairs would be nice but not a necessity. LOVE THIS HOUSE and rental company!!

The house was great until the morning before we left and smoke alarms started going off. After callling the office the tech came out and changed a few alarms, but should have changed all because as the day progressed they would occaionally go off and later on in the night it was every hour -we had quick ones ringing. Yes I called again later and they claimed it was the humidity but we noticed that a few of the alarms like the room with the twin beds the alarm had a red light on it. I know it rained and we had wet clothing around from the beach and pool all week but if that was the case, the "humidity" would have set them off earlier. You should post the weight limit on the elevator. sometimes when loading and unloading for the trip and having some people with some weight on them were kinda concerned about using it

Thanksgiving from hell

Upon arrival I notice a few things that was damaged. Carpet has so many pet stains from the time you enter the first floor going all the way up the third floor stairs. Hole in the ceiling. Bottom of the couch coming undone. Scratches on the door and door frames. Headboard and mattresses need to be replaced. Stove and oven was dirty and didn’t work when it was time to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Called emergency maintenance no response sent messages to the office no response til after the fact. Grill was dirty outside. Sand in the tubs and rugs wasn’t washed in the bathrooms. Whole kitchen had to be cleaned in order to utilize. No decent pots to cook. Had to drive 4 hours back home to cook thanksgiving dinner and drive back. House cleaners tried to come before we was out at 8:30 am. Great space for families. House need a little more TLC.

The pool and hot tub were nice and were cleaned mid week. I talked the pool guy on check out day and he was draining the Hottub and he mentioned they drain it between every rental which I thought was nice. The management company was great, the air wasn’t working on middle level on day two. I emailed them after hours and they had a tech out 20 minute (920am) after they opened. They were on it and got it fixed.Having a dog friendly place was so awesome. There were a couple of spots on the carpet from previous renters but there was no smell and very clean overall. That type of thing just happens on pet friendly homes. We have older parents and having a beach house with an elevator was perfect. They didn’t have to use the steps at all during the week. Beds were average, not the worst by any means but not a home mattress. No one in our party complained about them , which is a win in my book.Location wise, it’s amazing. Short Walking distance to millers (highly recommend) and two pizza shops. The hardware store at the beach access has bait and ice if you need that. We also walked to the cvs and shops on the main highway but that might be a little much for some folks.

It is well-located in walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We had one minor issue on our second-to-last day with the dishwasher not properly draining. The issue wasn’t resolved during our stay but we checked out on Saturday and it sounded like it was fixed that Monday.

The house was ready at 12:17! The only negatives to this house were: Needs more eating utensils, 2 refrigerator door shelves were missing and a gas grill would be nice:)Also, extra recognition to Beach Realty maintenance. We called on Sunday about a broken box spring. A temporary repair was done on Sunday & a new box spring delivered on Monday morning! Couldn't ask for better service.

The house was clean and as described. The pictures do not show the doorway on the ground floor, it is located behind the front steps, and it leads directly to the elevator, which is extremely helpful. But the best part was the customer service we received from beach realty. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful and answered all our questions very quickly. Keep up the great work!

A home away from home!

We loved staying at Sandy Paws! The property was clean except for the carpet areas (it had some pet urine spots), in my opinion no beach house should have carpet to make any clean up easier. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans and plates/bowls. All my guests loved the elevator feature to use to bring their stuff up and down! When we contacted the realty to fix a few things upon our arrival, they were very quick. The location was PERFECT and we honestly would love to stay here again!

The view has lessened somewhat by the building of some larger homes but you can still see the ocean from the decks. A clean home, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, the staff addressed all needs immediately. Would highly recommend!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all our stay at Salty Paws was good. Location was good but we felt like there could have been a few updates to make it a more comfortable stay. Primarily the Master Bath and the kitchen cookware. The master shower was very dated and cramped and the toilet had a very worn seat and discolored cracked flushing handle. We were a little taken back when we walked off of the elevator to find a table cloth on the dining room table very worn with several huge holes in it. We called property management and it was never replaced. Ended up buying a new one on our own. These items may seem petty but they were the difference in us considering renting Sandy Paws again.
