The weekend stay was wonderful. House was great! Very clean, well stocked with everything you may need. Very comfortable. Communication with the host was phenomenal!
Great communication with the host. The house is older, but very clean and comfortable. We cooked a couple meals in the spacious kitchen. The neighborhood was pretty quiet. We enjoyed being close to Duluth. There are also a few trails in the Superior Municipal Forest just a bit north of the house and that was a nice surprise - great for a morning run and getting outside for a walk.
It was a cute house in Superior, just a 10 minute uber from Duluth and Canal Street. It snowed our second night, and the back step and path to the car were shoveled in the morning! Everything was clean, beds were comfortable. I think it is priced perfectly for the location and place. Would stay again :)
We had a great time staying in Superior. The property was very clean and it had plenty of space for us to relax and recharge after a day on the ski hill. The owners had great communication and they even ensured the house was shoveled out the morning before our departure when we received a heavy snowfall the night before. I would definitely stay again!
This was perfect for our family of 6. Kitchen was equipped and the beds were comfortable. They had both a k-cup machine and regular coffee maker and pods and coffee and tea stocked. It was very clean. They also didn’t require any crazy cleaning/laundry requirements at check out, so it was easy to check out fast. The neighborhood was quiet and it is a short distance to campus and to restaurants and Walmart. We would stay again next time we are visiting UW-Superior.

The house was clean and functional. Issues with the only bathroom being upstairs, and the shower was so short that if you are over 5’4” you will be bending in half to wash your hair. The living room has no 3 prong outlets, the only room in the house that has none. There was a faint smell of mold, mostly in the living room area, specifically if you are sitting on the couch and the draft is coming from the window behind you. Had some issues when originally booking with adding my 2 dogs to the reservation and when I contacted the host, they said it would be fine if I paid the pet fee and they would add the pets to the reservation on their end. I paid the fee and that was that. However, three days before my reservation I received email that listed no animals, despite paying the 50 pet fee months previously after initially reaching out to the owner. I contacted support and they were able to add both pets, though the owner requested an additional 50 fee despite the fact that we were both very clear in the initial correspondence that there would be TWO dogs staying at the property. I had no issues with paying 100 for my dogs to stay, but the way the owner went about it felt very unprofessional and a way to strong arm more money out of me with only 3 days before I was supposed to be arriving. Will not stay again

Response from VrboOwner on 8 May 2026
Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. We’re glad to hear the home was clean and functional.
You are right about the shower height. While it works for many stays, it can be inconvenient for taller guests, and your feedback is helpful for setting clearer expectations for future travelers.
Regarding the pet fee, we did review what happened and found there was confusion in how the fees were processed, including an automatic charge through Vrbo support. We’ve reached out directly to you and refunded the errors.
We’re sorry this stay was not the right fit for you, but we do appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve the experience for future guests.

Superior Home
Overall it was good, but the yard was full of poop. Along with parking was an issue, and dryer did not work properly. Very nice inside good for a great trip to Duluth and very nice host to communicate with.
Good working class neighborhood. Once we figured out the area it was easy to get around locally and into Duluth. Good communication with the host.House itself was old but redone with new flooring (house rule was no shoes inside, slippers only), new paint. Linens were clean as was everything else.Only issue was a mustiness in the house. After running the a/c it diminished but not entirely. When checking in I recommend you get things aired out.Twin ports was awesome. Local bars and taverns are nearby. We loved it.
Our host was kind and attentive to our questions and always responded within an hour, if not sooner. The space was comfortable once we got acclimated to the thermostat and fit our needs for shelter quite nicely. We (my teenage sons and I) were in town to explore and found that this place was near the main highway so was easy to get to where we needed to go. Parking was on the street. Kitchen was accommodating (although we ate at local restaurants), we always had tea or coffee at the ready and a way to warm up food. We each got our own bedroom and felt spoiled by our little home away from home. Thanks for the Zen-den, Troy and Solstice! May it be a place of solace for those to come!

Why they chose this property
Billings Park is a charming neighborhood in Superior. Known for its quiet residential streets, lush greenery, and proximity to nature, it offers a blend of small-town charm with easy access to city amenities. We love the area for its scenic parks, walking trails, and waterfront views.
The neighborhood also provides convenient access to nearby restaurants, shops, and schools, while remaining a peaceful enclave away from the busier parts of the city. Its location near Duluth, Minnesota, means you can also easily explore the Twin Ports' broader attractions.
