The pictures don't do this property justice. It is an older place but has been maintained well and was super clean. It was also stocked with everything our crew of 14 needed for the weekend. We had a lot of people and never ran out of towels and washcloths or TP. The kitchen has a gas stove, coffee pot, microwavez crock pot, and a large fridge and freezer. It was also stocked with plenty of pans, utensils, cups, bowls, plates, etc. We loved how close it was to the lake. Walk out back and down a short trail to get to the lake. We used a boat to take us out to the middle to get out of the muddy part of the lake but the kids had plenty of fun at the shoreline too. The back deck is amazing and has a porch swing and tables and chairs. There's also a really nice wooden swing and fire pit closer to the lake and two picnic tables. The kids had a blast playing hide and seek in this house. They were running up and down the stairs constantly. They could show up anywhere and anytime because there are SO MANY DOORS. Downstairs the teens also enjoyed the air hockey and pool table. This was a great place to stay and the kids are already asking if we can go back next year and stay longer.
We had a great time, except for the rain. Our first thing was to ask about wifi, we assumed it was there. Although we brought stuff for outside, it was hard to make use of it bc of the rain. Most of our time was spent inside, so the littles needed something to do. We were told there was no wifi and only a dvd player but no dvds. That was also not on vrbo, so we did not know to bring dvds. There wasnt alot of space to store dry food in the kitchen but they did have a store room opposite the kitchen down the hallway. The doorknobs on all the doors were out of date and some didnt turn very well. One of the outside doors were in an awkward spot off the kitchen and we had to move the table if we wanted to use it. The kitchen table was very low to the ground. The patio table was nice but the cushion were old, dingy and they had been wet many times. When you use the gas stove it becomes very hot. We opened doors and windows to help. Do not hit the light switch on the unit downstairs, it turns the ac off. It could definitely use some updating, bc it has potential. Be sure to stop at walmart before you arrive bc its about 30-40mins away. Its in a great location, bc the water is right down from the house. The kids did have fun swimming when there was a break in the rain. There is a swing on the patio, it was peaceful to sit out there and swing on either level. The couple was very nice and responded very quickly to our questions.

About the host

Hello to tell you a little about us, my husband and I and kids have played on Greers Ferry Lake Pretty much our whole life, We started out camping in a tent which we did for years then decided to buy a camper which we camped in for several years in the spring and summer when we had time. Going back and forth as often as we did, we decided it would be easier to get a Lake House. We found our dream LakeHouse in the area which we dreamed of having that had a beach that allowed us to see right across from our favorite camping spot . We still like to go but sometimes we are either too busy or doing other things we enjoy doing . So decided to allow others to enjoy it when we’re not. If you have chosen our Lake Home we hope you enjoy it as much as we have and still do.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it’s close to where we loved to camp for many years with our kids and play out on the water. We enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that the town of Greers Ferry seems to have.
What makes this property unique
Our Lake House is in the Heart of Greers Ferry Lake it is aprox . 5 min to the devils fork boat launch or Narrows boat launch and the Shiloh boat launch is only few minutes further there is also a place to launch your seadoo or just a little ways . Our Lake House path has a gentle slope to the water a fire pit and swing at the end of our path too enjoy the fresh air and enjoy watching other boats going by tubing and skiing and sometime catch a beautiful sunset in the evening It has a gentle slope out into the deep and a good place to swim, the water is pretty and clear for swimming u can look down and see your feet sometime or a fish swimming by. Sometime in the spring if it has rained a lot might not be as clear but still good for swimming .
