Nestled in the hills directly above Playa Hermosa with amazing ocean views. Relax poolside, watch the rare tropical birdlife, howler monkeys, and sunsets. Enjoy our custom outdoor bar while mixing up your favorite drinks. Parrots fly while you prepare your meals in the beautiful kitchen. Enjoy sunsets from every room in the house. One Hermosa lane is truly a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy a true Costa Rican experience. King size beds accommodate Each bedroom as well as AC units. Bathrooms are large and have plenty of counter space as well as huge showers. Each bedroom opens up to our huge outdoor living space as well as the gorgeous views. Bird watching is a favorite in the Hermosa Hills. We have a resident albino green parrot which is a magnificent bird. The whole house opens up for a true indoor-outdoor living experience. Great spot for a retreat into nature.

We spent a few nights there while our main house had an overflow. It is a beautiful spot great sunsets, beautiful pool, and pretty much everything. You would need to have a lovely vacation. Would highly recommend it a little far from the beach but you’re in the heart of the jungle.

Although it was difficult to find, once we were there the home fit our needs perfectly. There were three of us so plenty of sleeping space, the kitchen and laundry made the stay pleasant and convenient. the home is in a gated community so we felt safe. The local area is very vibrant with activity and the beach is a short walk away. It is a part area, so if that is not your jam, you may not love it. The area is also a good jumping off point for day trips and the roads this time of year were pretty good unlike other areas.

One Hermosa was a beautiful casa! Great place with fantastic views and sunsets. Great amenities, everything we needed. Soraya was very helpful to us for finding the casa and responsive for any questions we had. Janet, the caretaker, did an excellent job. The road to the casa was quite challenging and would have been hard to find if not for the help of Soraya and staff leading us up the hill. Absolutely need a 4 wheel drive to get to Casa and around Santa Theresa. One suggestion would be more umbrellas or shade from the afternoon sun on the deck.

Not what we expected!

The actual property is beautiful but the location was not as we expected. The driveway and the roads leading up to the house resembled a Lunar surface. We could not have found the house without being guided there by the property manager. The housekeeper was excellent. Not sure I would stay there again.

We stayed 8 days at One Hermosa Lane, but we wish it would have been 80. The house is a real gem. You are surrounded by nature. Just sit there and wait until tons of birds, monkeys, lizards, frogs and butterflies show up to say hi. The house is spotless and the true star is Janet, the caretaker. She was friendly, extremely helpful and our two boys fell in love with her straight away. Overall a solid 10 out of 10.

We spent one week as a family of five and found this was a perfect place to unwind after two weeks of traveling with our kids through CR. We found everything as shown on the pictures. A very stylish house, well equipped, a perfect view, tranquility and great hospitality and exceptional support by Soraya and Jeanette! Both were absolutely fantastic! We were initially dreaming of staying in a beach house. We found this house through trip advisor, where it was shown to be located directly at Santa Teresa beach. Only later, we understood, that this was a wrong information. For a moment we were disappointed, when we found out, that this house was located a 10min drive from Hermosa beach up the hill. Now that we have been there, we would have never wanted it to be different. We were always so grateful to come back to this clean, taste- and peaceful place overlooking this huge green area until the sea while leaving Santa Teresa's and Playa Hermosa'a lively, sandy, bumpy, charming "mess" behind! Unfortunately it is such a long travel-distance to Germany, but we would really love to come back one time...!

Secluded Luxurious Paradise

When initially looking to book this house I was skeptical it was too good to be true but this place is exactly as it seems from the photos. We were 6 adults looking to end our Costa Rican adventure with a few relaxing nights in the Santa Teresa area. Having 6 people we all have different interests and needs and this house and area will accommodate to all. If you want to simply relax and not move the house is ideal with huge lounge space, hammocks, large bedrooms, a fantastic outdoor patio and pool. If you want to go out and explore, Playa Hermosa beach is ideal for swimming and surfing and only a 20min walk down the hill (or a 5 min drive). 4wd is a must to access the property, it's on top of a large steep dirt track but that is part of the fun and the price you pay for privacy. If you get up for the sunset you will see cattle herding through the property and some unique and rare wildlife like the albino (bright yellow) parakeet. The house is fully equipped from kitchen utensils, linen, bathroom necessities, board games etc. Janet, the on-site helper is wonderful, she will help out with cleaning on a daily basis including laundry. The area was a highlight for me in Costa Rica - Santa Teresa has it all from wonderful beach side restaurants, relaxing beach bars and great surf. It's a sleepy relaxing coastal town - ideal for chilling out. Eric the owner was great and responsive. He engages the help of Soraya and Troy as house managers who were also fantastic and very responsive to our needs. I can't wait to be back in Santa Teresa, and if available, this is where I will be staying.

Peaceful, comfortable house, but very remote

The house is a great place for two couples, with everything you need (ex. No TV). Outdoor spaces offer amazing views, and a great pool. Easy communication with house manager, and daily cleaning from a family nearby. The only drawback is the house location. It’s not really possible to walk to the beach - over 3km on dirt, potholed roads. A 4x4 with high clearance is an absolute must - if you’ve never been to CR before - the roads are insane. It’s a 30min slow bone rattling drive to town. All good if you’re up for staying at the house, and enjoying the peace up on the mountainside. Not so great if you want to go in and out of town for restaurants or adventures. The neighboring house - other rental - is directly next door, and can be noisy depending on who is staying. Again - the house is great - the location is something you have to be prepared for.

Sunset House with spectacular views and sunsets!

This has been our 2nd year renting this lovely home in August. Perfectly cool and breezy evenings. Refreshing pool for a dip after our daily ATV adventures beach hopping and exploring. We simply adore Janet the caretaker and the occasional visit from Tuco. Highly recommend this home if you’re looking for a private hideaway. We’ll be back again.

Pura Vida Experience!

We had the greatest time and wished we could have stayed longer! Janeth and Soraya were both amazing! We rented two ATV's which were perfect for our family of 4 and really enjoyed Hermosa beach for lounging and surfing. It was raining season so internet was not working but for our family that was actually the best thing that could have happened, so we could actually bond in the evening rather than just having the kids and my husband on phones. :) Only recommendations I would give is to provide a starter coffee set and have salt and pepper. We did arrive late, made it to the store but totally forgot coffee and salt and would have loved to wake up that first morning to that GORGEOUS view with a delicious cup of Costa Rican coffee. Janeth brought us salt asap. I work for Marriott so that may just be a hotel girl thing! :) and it was a minor thing. The stay was amazing and we will be back for a longer period of time. Beautiful Oasis

One Hermosa Lane was the perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa. Everything in the house is new and in great condition. Janet, the grounds person, was very sweet and took great care of the property. She recommended Playa Hermosa and that became our favorite beach. We had one problem with an AC unit and it was fixed immediately! We loved coming back here after a long day of exploring or beaching, to relax by the pool and grill some burgers! We hope to return someday soon.

The best stay in Hermosa Beach

I have been to Santa Teresa twice now and had the opportunity to stay in many different listings around the area but this is by far the only place I'll ever want to stay from now on. Daily cleaning helped us to really relax on our holiday and the views from the property are unbeatable - the pictures don't do it justice. If you have an ATV or car you're only a short 10 min drive to the stunning Hermosa beach where you'll also find some lovely cafes and a supermarket. This property is ideal for BBQ's, relaxing and doing yoga. It might not be in the heart of Santa Teresa but when you stay at Eric's place you'll fall in love with the tranquility of the Hermosa area. Thank you for an incredible and unforgettable stay!

Best in 20 years

My family has been to this area every year for 20 years. As Santa Teresa is getting more crowded, this was the perfect oasis just up the hill. Amazing property management and cleaning, awesome surf shop, restaurant, and grocery just down the road. The rancho with grille by the pool is awesome. The house was great‐ well designed, open air, and private.

Most amazing stay we could possibly ask for.

This is a perfect house with most amazing views and sunsets. The house is very private and located in an amazing neighborhood 15 minutes from all the beaches , restaurants and super market. The staff were on top of everything and the house was equipped with everything a family with 3 kids would need. Soraya is the main contact and she helped us with everything we needed including our rental car , our atv and recommendations of places to go. Janet is the caretaker/cleaner of the house and cleaned up the house on a daily basis and even babysat our kids. There is monkeys that come every morning to eat from the banana plants which our kids loved watching. We really enjoyed every minute of this house and landed up staying for 47 days. Highly recommend this House and staff and thank you for an amazing vacation.

Both of our families are from California and we have been great friends for many years. We actually proposed to our wives here on the same day 14 years ago. We love this area so much we decided to build our dream vacation home.

We chose this property because we have been coming to this region for 20+ years. This property in particular sits high in the breezes with a great ocean view, we wanted to be in a private location yet close to all of our favorite spots.
