This pet friendly home was in a perfect location. Close to everything. The layout of the home gave our party plenty of space. We really enjoyed the backyard, fire pit, jacuzzi, restaurants and plenty to do and see during the day. Communication was superb. We visit Fort Bragg once or twice a year and will be back to this home.

Every thing was great, close to many things. Very good communication with the host. Love that there were luggage rack in all the rooms. There was only one thing, not a big deal, but I thought I should mention there was a bad smell coming from the bathrooms. But a wonderful stay! Thank you!!

Great family (with a baby) and pet friendly place to stay! We had an amazing time and the comfort of the place made it that much more special. We especially loved having all of us able to sit at the 10 person table to have family meals together!! Would definitely stay again.

We loved the house, the location and all the extras our hosts provided - basket of goodies for us, dog toys, beach towels and a well-equipped kitchen.Walking/biking distance to the Botanical Garden was a huge plus. Appreciated how responsive the management team was to our questions. We're already talking about booking Casa Serenity for another family reunion.

This is our seventh year in a row of family Fort Bragg vacations. Each time we had stayed at a different place, and this is the first place that we all agreed that we would like to return to.

Great family vacation

We have been vacationing in Fort Bragg for years and this was our first VRBO experience. The house is beautiful and we loved listening to the ocean while sleeping. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated the flexibility of individual room heaters. The owner was responsive and friendly and we enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Location & Beautiful Property

We loved our stay here! The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. There was a great view of the ocean with beach access a short fee miles away. The wood burning fire place (indoor) and fire pit outdoor were cozy and were a great place for family time. We enjoyed the botanical gardens nearby and a visit to Glass Beach (about 3 miles away). Amenities (grocery, gas, etc.) were right up the street. Highly recommend!

What a great place for a family vacation

8 adults a toddler and 2 dogs, with more space if you needed it. Close to town but not so close you could hear anything but the ocean. Deer in the yard every night. Clean convenient and well equipped. The fire pit in the back yard was a joy. Our host was a gem and was on top of everything we had a question about. I would highly recommend this location for a family.

Quiet, well appointed home

This home was well suited for our stay with our children and grandchildren. The 5 bedrooms were comfortable. The kids loved the deer that hang out there, as well as the jack rabbits. Close to the botanical gardens, which are beautiful, and many state parks with ocean access.Only issues with the house itself is that there wasn't enough hot water for the 7 of us. Had tow work hard to stagger showers to have enough hot water. Housekeeping staff had left 5 full sets of sheets in the dryer, which I needed to fold. Most pots and pans in the kitchen were also dirty, and we needed to wash them before we could use them.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Mark! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our home. Regarding the hot water, as noted in our listing, we have two bathrooms and an additional outdoor shower. Our brand new 50-gallon water heater provides ample hot water, especially when showers are spaced out between guests. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to remind guests about this for everyone’s comfort. I also appreciate your comments about the kitchen items and laundry. I will speak with my cleaning crew to ensure that pots, pans, and all kitchenware are thoroughly checked, and that no sheets are left in the dryer in the future. Thank you again for your helpful suggestions, and we hope to welcome you back soon!

A beautiful home set in a great location. We were a group of 10 people plus a dog and made it work great with the number of beds/bedrooms. The house is close enough to the water we could listen to the waves all night and visited Belinda Point on several occasions over three days. The backyard is a great setup for a large group around the fire pit so be sure to plan for that. Lots of dining room space and fun things to do in the house as well. The oldest of the kids declared the garage was a club for all the kids and they spent a ton of time playing in there with all the games available.Friendly host and neighbors as well.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
The reviews clearly do not accurately reflect the true nature of this VRBO.The host watches you on cameras the entire time. We were a group of women that were incredibly respectful and felt uncomfortable that he needed to watch us, especially as we were in the hot tub (as the camera overlooked it). He messaged us in the middle of our stay which made us aware that he had been watching.Additionally, the person set us up and provided us a broken table, so when we went to move it to the side for our low impact workout on the deck both legs fell off. In fact, when the rusty leg fell off, it cut my mom who was moving the table. Then he tried to charge us for a table that was already broken prior to our stay. The only amenities we used outside were the fire pit, jacuzzi and barbecue. There was no need to use the outside table as we were inside most of the time and only ate our meals and sat at tables inside since it was cold. This man is extremely untrustworthy host and didn’t provide a safe and comfortable space for our relaxing vacation. I’ve never had any issues with a host at short term rentals I’ve stayed at.All of these issues have been reported to VRBO.

Thank you for your feedback. While we strive to provide a relaxing stay for all our guests, we also must maintain the integrity of our property and house rules. Unfortunately, this stay involved unauthorized guests who were not included in the booking, as well as unpaid occupancy fees. Regarding your other concerns: Our exterior-only security cameras are clearly disclosed in our listing to ensure property security and compliance with house rules. these cameras do not monitor the hot tub area or any private space. We maintain our furniture to high standards and take any reports of damage seriously. As this matter involves policy violations and damage claims, it has been referred to VRBO support for a fair resolution.
