This is an amazing home in the heart of Asheville yet carefully placed upon the natural mountainside off Town Mountain Rd. The home is perfect for a family gathering, a retreat with friends, or for a relaxing space to take in the mountain views. With three master suites, a theatre room/Pub, billiards room, library, huge eat in kitchen overlooking the clouds and four levels of living space you won’t want to leave! Have you ever wanted to cook on an $18,000 Thermador Pro Grand 60" commercial stove? Now is your chance! In a foodie town like Asheville you will find the best farmers markets and culinary treats you can imagine so why not enjoy the finest gourmet kitchen around?
There is so much room in this home everyone can enjoy privacy or gather for family fun.

The main floor houses the formal living room with fireplace and baby grand piano, library, kitchen, laundry room and king master suite with private balcony. Off the kitchen and living room, you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the wrap around upper deck. The deck features lounge chairs, dining table and chairs and a lovely porch swing. We have a gas BBQ grill to keep you outside enjoying the view while you cook.

The theatre room and pub is located off the main level on the left wing of the house, and is equipped with a projection screen, and surround sound system for the ultimate theatre experience. Enjoy the murals painted by the same local artist who painted Asheville Pizza. The experience is truly unique and truly Asheville. There is a half bath and bar so you will not need to leave once the movie starts! We have hundreds of movies to choose from and we now have cable TV in the theatre room and basement pub/billiards room. The theatre room also has a a twin daybed with twin trundle bed for overflow sleeping if needed (can sleep 2 guests), and also has 4 toy bins full of Lego bricks and toys for the kids and makes for a popular overflow sleeping area for children. Two queen airbeds fit nicely in the theatre room as well.

The second story is accessible from the main level off the foyer. This level has one double bed bedroom and one queen bed bedroom with an additional twin bed (sleeps 3). There is a full bath located between the two rooms.

The lower level has a queen master suite, and a king master suite with full baths, a private bunk room with one set of twin bunk beds, a billiards room and second pub, living room area with private entrance and a covered deck with a 6 person hot tub and sweeping mountain views. You will find many games and puzzles in this area as well as a large screen TV with cable service.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and cookware for a Thanksgiving feast! The 60" gas range with double oven and two full size refrigerators are a real bonus in the gourmet spacious kitchen. You will not need to bring a thing to enjoy this home!

All linens, towels, paper products and cleaning supplies are provided. We also have two queen air mattresses for additional sleeping if needed. We also have two portable cribs and one highchair for those traveling with tiny tots!

Connecting with friends!

11 friends traveled from Cincinnati to honor the passing of a dear friend. We laughed, we cried, we carried out his wishes to bring everyone together in Asheville. This house was the best decision! We used all the spaces to gather, tell stories and share memories. Dinner was prepared as we gathered around the table for a meal. Also, very convenient to downtown and all the things we love about Asheville. We plan to stay here again.

The location and layout worked well. U nfortunately a power outage before check in likely impacted cleaning. Home is showing wear borh inside and out. Owner starting renovation outside rear in Jan '23. Upstairs bedrooms and bath weren't cleaned well. Found glass shards in carpet in theater room. The theater room was greatly enjoyed by all. Had issue with one downstairs toilet and one daughter reported upstairs tub/shower drained poorly....she said she found hair in it and on sink. The shower curtain had mold and mildew on it. several stains in carpet and needed to restretched. The owner was plesant and volunteered to some check out toilet but we said we'd make due and could adress after we left. A good detailed cleaning including professional carpet cleaning would remedy a number of the issues. I also recommend new bed pillows.

I have lived in Asheville for over 30 years....15 in this house. I have enjoyed living less than 2 miles from downtown, its amenities, culture, food, and of course, breweries. I have camped, rock climbed, rafted and hiked more weekends than I can count with my son and friends. I hope my decision to downsize a bit allows you and your family to enjoy the house and location as much as I have.

Why they chose this property

There is so much going on all the time in Asheville that you will not run out of things to do. More popular for first time visitors would be the Biltmore House, Chimney Rock Park or a short trip to Lake Lure (where Dirty Dancing was filmed). There are a staggering number of excellent restaurants to choose from and night life that ranges from Burlesque shows to plays and symphonies.

What makes this property unique

This property is an excellent getaway and you won't find ANY this close to downtown with the privacy you are afforded here. In the summer, you can't even see the nearest neighbor and in the winter, you can see one roof. With 3 of the 6 bedrooms being master suites, families can vacation together and each feel like they got the best room in the house! Two levels of decks allow you to enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine. The addition of your own home theater with a 13 foot screen, theater seating for 18, and a 6 person hot tub top off your experience. We also provide children's toys, books and movies, corn hole, a library full of books and camping chairs to take with you on a hike if you like. We have tried to think of everything but if you need something special just let us know and we will do our best to meet your request.
