Sugar Shack Infested

Although this place was quaint and decorated nicely and had a warm cozy feel, my family and I were not the only ones welcomed during our stay. Apparently, we found some unexpected visitors already checked and raiding the refrigerator. The posting for this place was a bit out dated, but the inside was pleasantly appealing and the private pool was a plus.

While this place was a great stay and great location, if a problem arises do not expect help. We left some items at the rental and have reached out several times without receiving any correspondence back.

Sugar Shack

The house is cute. All bedrooms are upstairs and on the smaller side but we don’t spend much time in them so no big deal. Listing says it is for 10 people. I would not do more than 8. The master bedroom had no sheets on it and the cover and blanket were stained and dirty. We did not discover this until 11 at night. We called management but they said it would be the next day. We got lucky and found sheets downstairs for the foldout couch that fit. The couches need to be cleaned as well. There was a dirty towel left in the master. This definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. The pool area is the best thing about the house. It has a big covered seating area and a small charcoal grill. We spent lots of time there. Kitchen is nice but sparse - no potholders - But it has enough to get by. We had a great time on our trip but the lack of cleanliness of the house is an issue for me.
