About the host
Hosted by Jeab Zwani Chaviwan
Hello! I'm Jo, a designer and small business owner from Bangkok. My family and I love creating places where people can slow down and feel at home.
We've always believed that a good stay is more than just a comfortable bed. It's about having a place where you can slow down, breathe, and simply feel at home. That belief inspired us to create Jonah by the Sea—a place where guests can step away from busy schedules and enjoy a slower, more peaceful rhythm of life.
Jonah by the Sea is one of those places. We wanted to create a peaceful retreat where guests could enjoy a different side of Thailand—away from busy tourist areas, yet still close enough to explore Bangkok whenever they like.
When I'm not hosting, I enjoy visiting local cafés, walking by the sea, discovering hidden places, and designing products inspired by everyday moments. I believe that travel isn't only about seeing new places—it's also about finding moments of peace and connection.
Hosting gives me the opportunity to share a place that means a lot to our family, and I'm always happy to recommend local cafés, seafood restaurants, and places that many visitors might otherwise miss.
We hope you'll feel as relaxed here as we do every time we visit.
Why they chose this property
Bang Pu has a special charm that is very different from the busy side of Bangkok.
What we love most is its slower pace of life. In the morning, you can enjoy fresh sea air and birdsong. In the evening, beautiful sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand create a peaceful atmosphere that feels worlds away from the city, even though central Bangkok is only about 40–50 minutes away.
The neighborhood is also home to Ancient Siam (Muang Boran), one of Thailand's most remarkable open-air museums, as well as local seafood restaurants, cozy cafés, markets, and seaside walking areas.
Many visitors are surprised to discover this quiet coastal community, and that's exactly why we chose it. It's one of Bangkok's hidden gems—perfect for travelers who enjoy authentic local experiences, nature, and a slower rhythm of life.
What makes this property unique
Jonah by the Sea isn't designed to be a luxury resort. Instead, it's a comfortable coastal home where guests can relax, reconnect, and enjoy life's simpler moments.
The house offers the privacy of an entire home, making it ideal for couples, families, or friends traveling together. Whether you're enjoying a quiet morning coffee, returning from a day exploring Ancient Siam, or simply unwinding after watching the sunset by the sea, the house is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and easy to live in.
What makes Jonah different is its combination of peaceful surroundings, authentic local character, and convenient access to Bangkok. It's a place where you can experience Thailand beyond the usual tourist routes while still staying close to everything you need.
We hope every guest leaves with wonderful memories—and perhaps a desire to return someday.
