Surrounded by towering pines, quaking aspens, and unique rock formations, this secluded retreat offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.
HAL comfortably sleeps 4 guests and boasts 2 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, ensuring everyone has their own space. The primary suite features a gorgeous, remodeled luxury shower and a private balcony, perfect for enjoying breathtaking sunsets with a glass of wine in hand. The large main balcony is ideal for cozying up by the fire pit under a blanket of stars and the covered hot tub can be enjoyed in any weather.

Additional Info:
- Mountain AC: open windows and ceiling fan in loft bedroom (no central air conditioning)
- Guest access: guests have access to the entire house except an owner’s closet and drawer. No access to garage or shed unless specifically instructed by Owners.
- For everyone’s benefit, we will ask you to sign a Rental Agreement prior to booking.

- 90 minutes from Denver
- 25 minutes to Fairplay
- 20 minutes off Highway 285, all paved roads until last 4 miles (AWD/4WD recommended still, especially October - May)
- 1 hour to Breckenridge (avoiding I-70 is priceless)
- 20 minutes to Tarryall Reservoir (fishing, ice fishing, paddleboarding, even a waterfall!)
- 25 minutes to Kenosha Pass & 20 minutes to Boreas Pass Road (leaf peeping central!)
- Close to several spots for fishing, fly fishing & ice fishing
- 1 hour to Buena Vista & Mount Princeton Hot Springs

House Rules:
- Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted inside or outside on the Property and will result in a minimum of $1000 fine.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- All garbage must be placed in provided kitchen sized garbage bags and placed in the wildlife-proof receptacle near the end of the driveway prior to departure. No loose trash in the garbage bin, everything must be in a trash bag, tied tightly.
- ALL dog waste must be picked up and disposed of as written above. If dog waste is left on the property, an additional fee of 200$ will be charged to the renter.
- Guests are not permitted to use any ember causing fire methods such as wood burning fire pits or charcoal grills at any time due to fire restrictions and wildfire risk.
- If the hot tub cover is not placed back correctly when the hot tub is not in use and damage is incurred as a result, a fee of up to $1000 will be charged to the guest’s account to cover the cost of potential damage or necessary maintenance.
- No glass is allowed in or around the hot tub. Broken glass inside the hot tub or otherwise excessively dirty hot tub will result in a $350 fine to empty, clean and refill the hot tub.
Please Note: While our Starlink WiFi is very reliable, the cabin is in a remote mountain location, and power outages can occasionally occur, especially during storms or high winds. These are typically short and resolved quickly, but we want you to be aware in advance.
We are not responsible for power outages and do not offer refunds for brief interruptions.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn the well pump off (see instructions in House Manual)
Close hot tub cover & clip in place. Lock clips and return keys to lockbox.
All garbage (including pet waste) needs to be placed in white kitchen trash bags and placed in garbage can near end of driveway.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

HAL is a 30 year old, hand scraped log cabin! This cabin has stood the test of time in Jefferson, Colorado. It is unique, modern, and private on 2 acres of land and decorated beautifully! The outdoor spaces are comfortable, cozy, warm, and the hot tub is perfect for cool Colorado mountain nights.
