Right down stairs the building has its own great pool, jacuzzi, barbecue pavilion, gardens. You have ocean view from the apartment that is in the 6th floor. The beach is 150 meters away. The main Costa Rican airport: Juan Santamaría is 80 kilometers away, we are the closest beach from it.

We really liked the location where the condo is located. Close to the beach which was one of our favorite beaches to go to. Also has a great pool to use. The only trouble that we had was that the internet went down for awhile but Caroline fixed the problem as fast as she could. The condo has everything you need to use in the kitchen. The whole place is really nice. Thank you Caroline for letting us use your place. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Costa Rica!

The property was clean but needed some work. Like cupboard doors broken, huge holes in the drapes, hardly no cookware or bowlsa. Bedding needs replaced. Could be a beautiful place with a few minor updates. We would definitely go back!! The space was worth the money!!

Very nice pool area. Condo location, outside appearance, and overall cleanliness was good. Great view from small balcony and from most floors of building above 5th. Condo was clean and as advertised but furnishing showing some wear and kitchen understocked with cooking utensils if you plan to stay longer but restaurants in very close proximity to property. Did lose wireless every afternoon for 3/4 hours which I use for work and play so that was a pain but that is Costa Rica in some areas so you have to adapt or get a local phone carrier plan during your visit which is easy.

My wife and I stayed here for 35 days. I would recommend that if you’re staying for more than a week at most, that you should look at other possibilities. We chose this apartment because we wanted to have the option to cook and eat at home. The problem is the cookware is extremely limited and has exceeded its lifespan the cookware that say is very well used and you probably don’t want to use it.The television in the main room is slightly larger than a computer monitor. I found it difficult to watch and listen to. In one of the bedrooms, the closet door was loose and the hinge had come off the closet. I searched for a screwdriver luckily found one and fixed the door myself. The laundry room door is also off one of the hinges so every time you open the door it feels like it’s gonna fall off. It appeared that someone tried to fix it about three or four times because they were a lot of holes where the hinge was supposed to be attached to. The televisions in each other bedrooms are also very small and the remote controls don’t work and it’s not because the batteries are dead. I switched out batteries and they still do not work. There were no cleaning accessories for the counters, the floor, the bathrooms. Both showers do not drain very well, so you are standing in about an inch of soapy water during your shower. When you come back to take another shower, there is still a large amount of standing water on the floor of the shower. The balcony does give a good ocean view.

Beautiful Apartment, but

The apartment is beautiful. Our only concern was the tone set by the host. You are told that if you break anything your account will be charged? There are posters in the apartment reminding you that you will be charged for any damage. Ok, fair enough, but there was no checklist provided and no walk through. You are told the apartment will be inspected by Milagros and if she finds something you will pay for it? The procedure for check in and check out needs to include a joint inspection process. So we spent the first couple of days documenting and informing our host of the findings of previous damages. The owner and Milagros are not good about responding to WhatsApp after being asked to use it. Otherwise the apartment is very nice and we met great people in the building. There are bird watching opportunities. We spotted both Blue and Scarlet Macaws, and Tocans and also Iguanas are everywhere. The beach is in easy walking distance and there are some restaurants and a decent mini market near by. A big plus is a conveniently close Auto Mercado and the Marriott and Marina.. The building has security guards 24/7. Air conditioning works great. Overall our stay was very pleasant.

BAD EXPERIENCES--ELEVATOR BROKE--APT/CONDO ON 6th FLOOR NEEDS UPDATE

I wish I could post photos to show ALL THE NEGATIVES OF THIS PLACE. We rented for 6 days, Apt/condo on 6th floor which elevator broke the 2nd day wasn't fix when we left (was told part coming from another country was going to a week or more to arrive). so for 5 DAYS YOU GO UP/DOWN 6 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! Sofa & chairs were badly stained, rug was dirty, oven was filthy & pan of food was left behind, both bathroom showers didn't drain well, bathtowels were OLD, bedsheets w bedspreads OLD in each room, ALL pillows were OLD & FLAT, dining table had lots of water damage stains, several lights had bulbs missing, no extra toilet paper, no papertowels, issues off/on with internet, 1 electric plug loose on wall. NO INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO OPERATE ANYTHING OR HANDY INSTRUCTIONS. Made contact with OWNER (lives in San Jose) several times to complain, she was going to refund 2 nights but NEVER DID--waited over 1 month for refund & NEVER GOT IT. The owner had no problem in getting reservation money but REFUND NEVER CAME. I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE RENTING THIS PLACE, MOST ESPECIALLY IF THE ELEVATOR STOPS WORKING AGAIN PLUS THE PLACE NEEDS UPGRADES INSIDE WITH ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED. The gate guys were very friendly. Rented mid-Nov. 2019 We have stayed in several VRBO throughout several countries including USA & have NEVER run into these kinds of problems. Most especially with the Owner(s) of these places. The lack of responsibilities from this owner to its clients is UNACCEPTABLE!

We loved the property that this condo was in. The pool and building were very nice and well kept. Very secure with a guard and grounds keeper. The condo itself was not up to our standards. The stuffed couch and chair were very dirty. We had several lights go out and could not get anyone to come change them or stop the toilets from constantly running. Bedroom window lock was broken. Kitchen was not equipped with good cookware or cups/glasses. Zero spices or other necessities such as measuring cups, bags, etc. No cleaning supplies for our month long stay. We contacted the host and property manager to set up repairs, but they never showed and things never got done. Only thing they fixed for us was the leaking washer

Herradura - perfect vacation

Apartment is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Beach is perfect for kids as the waves are not as strong as many of the other beaches, such as Jaco. The area is mostly locals so it is nice to get away from the crowds (except the week of Christmas and New Years where the beach is packed). The security guards at the gate are all very friendly. The pool is kept clean and there are outdoor showers to rinse off after being at the beach. The apartment has most of what we needed but the furniture is in need of an upgrade. The dining chairs were very uncomfortable so we put pillows on them. The couch and chair were very dirty but we just covered them up with blankets. Many of the lights were not working but we managed ok. We he master bedroom is right beside the garbage chute so we kept the blinds closed all the time. A few times people put garbage down from upper floors and woke us up but other than that the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and met our needs. I highly recommend staying in Herradura instead of Jaco for the quiet and to feel more “local”. Carolina was very responsive when we contacted her.

Dicen q el lugar muy limpio la piscina muy linda y grande q la persona q cuida llamada Marlon es muy atento servicial educado y le ayudo mucho con direcciones.. D verdad gracias x hacerle una estancia Linda en especial a mi mama xq era regalo del Día d Las Madres.... LUGAR RECOMENDADO 100%.(lo único es q el tv del cuarto no sirve entonces mi mama no pudo ver la novela acostada tubo q ir a la sala🙏🏽)
