About this property

Beautiful 4 bedroom home in a wooded setting 10 acres. Tranquil and peaceful.

We are renting our beautiful home on 10 acres. It has four bedrooms three baths and about 2800 ft.². The house sits on 10 acres of beautiful tree filled natural landscape . We have four bedrooms, two with queen size bed's, one bedroom with twin beds, and the fourth bedroom is set up a little bit like an office with a double futon. One of the things our guests have enjoyed about our house, is the two separate living and entertaining spaces under one roof.. but still together.
The kitchen has travertine floors and is very light and spacious with a beautiful marble island.Fully stocked pantry with anything you might need. The dining room is open. Beautiful wood floors in the living room and hall gorgeous living room with tall windows.
We have a 1/4 mile slightly steep paved driveway that leads up to our house... there are no houses to be seen anywhere from our house. Just enjoy the tranquility and peace. This is not a party house. The neighbors though they are far away are used to peace and quiet.:)
If you are under 25 please don't request to book unless we have communicated first and you make your intentions very clear..:)
Fully stocked pantry, free wifi and much more! We have a strict policy for the kitchen, it must be returned to how it was received. I am mostly speaking of the cleanliness of the kitchen, if utensils and dishes are moved and not in the original spot, that is not a problem.. :) I might like the place you put them better.
If you are bringing a lot of clothing you would like to put away, let me know and I will make room for you..

Strict Policy - Must let us know in advance the # of additional guests ANY events/dinners/gatherings, no matter the size. Event charges may apply.

This is our private home and we choose to rent it out to responsible adults. Please be aware that there are breakables in the house and if you need me to put some things away I will be happy to do that..
I would also like to know the age of your children that you will be bringing...

This was a great home with space for our two families that was close enough to Nashville and Franklin to explore both. We had a peaceful, secluded dinner out on the deck one evening. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and to prepare meals and the owners were thoughtful and helpful.

Clean, beautiful land, roomy house. Host was nearby and helpful. Close to Franklin so it was easy to go out to eat or shop. Nice place to be outside on the deck. Did not cook meals in, however it would be easy to do so since kitchen is fully equipped. Plenty of everything you might need.

We had a lovely end of year stay here!. The home is well-equipped with everything you might need and is ideally located with easy access to Franklin and Nashville. Moreover, it is beautiful and tranquil in a very relaxing and private setting. We have been fortunate to rent through Homeaway in many places around the world, and we have rented some lovely houses, but rarely have we stayed in a place that is so much like a home. The owners care and personalities come through in so many details. We would not hesitate to stay again on a return trip! Loved it!

Host. She called each day. Camera on property. She was able too see us. I reserved for 7 adults 1 kid. Which is what I had. She accused of us having party. We did not. She stated cars coming and going. Yes the same exact 4 cars came and went. We drove into town we each had a car. Did she expect us to stay and not leave. Too much personal items/food/knick knicks. This may have been her first rental? Shouldn’t contact those renting the property daily or multiple daily.

Great home tucked away on a hillside.

This property was as good as or even better than advertised. There were numerous comfortable beds and a spacious living area. The setting was incredible. The house is tucked away in a wooded hillside with a great view and easy access to Franklin and other points of interest. The responsiveness from the host was the best I have ever experienced. She returned messages immediately and was eager to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommended. I would rent this property again in a heart beat.

We stayed a beautiful property that a had a long driveway off the road to a wooded paradise. It was quiet, peaceful and serene. The house was perfect and it was so comfortable, it felt like home. The Perfect Choice

The owners were truly kind and excellent to work with. Communication was clear and detailed, so no mysteries as to how things worked or wondering if I would be able to reach them if needed. They were there when we arrived, showed us around and explained everything we needed to know. The house was a perfect setting and size for my family to gather prior to my son’s wedding in Spring Hill.

Excellent Host

Jane is very engaging and easy to communicate with. Her home is large and spacious. There isn't much open yard. It sits on a steep hill and the view is treetops not open space. Even so, it was still very nice and would be lovely in the summertime. There is ample TV's and cable service, bathrooms were clean and well stocked, including items you might have forgotten. Beds were very comfortable. We were close to Franklin, Leiper's Fork, and Cool Springs. Nashville was about 30 minutes away during non-work travel hours. I would recommend this property to others. The owner is a perfect host/communicator. Thanks Jane.

Quiet Retreat

The host was very accomodating and communicated well. Several of our group really enjoyed the quiet solitude of the location. It was an easy drive to most of the sights we wanted to see. There were several places in the home that we could both gather as a group or retreat into our own activities. It really is a beautiful home.

We came from 4 different states to get together. The house was great, plenty of room for 6 adults and the dog. Less than 1/2 from Nashville. Lots of great things to do in Franklin. We all had a great time. If we return to this area we will book this house again!

The property is easy to find but very quiet & secluded once on site. We “displaced” the owners - which took some getting used to - but the house was great for we two couples to share with separate sleeping and living areas plus a great deck to share. Had a great time!

My husband Edd and I moved here from California in 2003. We sold our home in Glendale California to Margaret Cho. We had decided we wanted a little more serenity and peace in our lives than what California afforded.. We definitely found it here on this property.

Why they chose this property

Edd and I were driving along the country roads of Franklin Tennessee, and saw this road that went up a hill. There was a for sale by owner sign, at the bottom of the hill. I told my husband, I want to drive up there, he said, I don't think so... but I persisted. We fell in love with the house and purchased it about six months later.. We love the serenity, peacefulness and beauty of this property and house. Our children have grown and the grandkids don't come as much anymore, so the house has gotten a bit big for us. We were going to sell and then we decided to do the Home Away.

What makes this property unique

Our closest neighbor is a quarter-mile away. This house oozes peace and serenity. :)
