Some changes are in order
The condo is great. There is plenty of space. The air conditioner works great! The condo is immediately across from the beach with a crossing with a light at the end of the property. Was very impressed with Miriam. She gave us the suggestion of shopping at Krogers and a bakery for some kolache.
The biggest problem we had was the elevator. I am in a wheelchair so we looked for a condo with an elevator. Unfortunately it didn't always work. It went out Friday. My husband and I were going out to eat with another couple but we couldn't leave due to the elevator being out. We were told by Ram that we would be reimbursed for the lost dinner. (We had scrambled eggs instead of the dinner we were expecting.) That night my son and his family arrived. They had to carry all their things up a rather dark staircase that has railing only on one side.
The next morning our daughter and her family arrived. They too had to carry all their items up the staircase as the elevator had not been fixed. After lunch, most went to the beach, via the elevator, Yea!!!
The TV remote had no batteries and the batteries in the wall clock were dead. My husband went out to purchase batteries, toilet paper, and bath soap. He also worked on the dish washer as it was broken. Unfortunately he was unable to make that repair. The washing machine makes a horrendous sound but it washes the clothes. The dryer also works.
The hand soap was so watered down that you couldn't get any suds. We called and requested extra bath towels (to be used only in the condo), toilet paper, and clothes hangers. Ram brought all that we requested.
Unfortunately the elevator went out again on Sunday. Both kids and their families had to haul all of their stuff down that staircase when they left for home.
Not sure how renting the condo will work as the bottom of the condo is being renovated and becoming a church. Parking during church services might become a problem.
Also, since it has an elevator, it might be promoted as a great place for someone handicapped. If they decide to do this, they might replace the approximately 12" tall commode with an approved ADA toilet.
After we were home a few days, I emailed Miriam asking what compensation we would receive due to the problems we endured. She has never replied. It has now been a week since we checked out and I am assuming that we are not even going to be compensated for the meal we missed on Friday night.
