Recovery Room EAST is a luxury rental with six bedrooms plus a sleeping loft. A large great room/family room, dining room and kitchen along with a king bedroom, private bath and half bath are located on the main level. Glass doors connect the living room to a covered deck/outdoor eating area which overlooks the sparkling pool, your private hot tub and the beach. On the second level are two king master bedrooms with decks overlooking the beach, a twin bedroom with two single beds, a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, a queen bedroom and a smaller bedroom with a trundle bed (two twin mattresses). This spacious beach house is the perfect rental for extended family or multi-family vacations and will accommodate 16 guests comfortably. Recovery Room EAST is designed for comfort and convenience. With its fully equipped, completely remodeled kitchen, it will be a breeze to prepare a gourmet meal or a quick snack! Great room overlooks pool which overlooks the beach .Recovery Room EAST also offers six flat screen smart televisions in most bedrooms plus a massive 86" flat screen in the living room. Wireless Internet access as well as a washing machine and clothes dryer for convenience.

This listing, Recovery Room EAST is half of the Recovery Room EAST/West duplex. Each half duplex home has 7 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Private solar heated pool facing the beach is shared between the two duplex homes. Each side has its own private hot tub. Fort Morgan Peninsula provides a wonderful location for quiet time. The home is on the sugar white sands of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and minutes from Gulf Shores and its many popular attractions. For larger groups, please inquire about reserving both sides, Recovery Room EAST and Recovery Room West, to accommodate groups up to 32 people.

Fun Family Home

My family and I had a great time. Plenty of space, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The huge fridge made it easy to store food for the week and the stand alone ice maker is an excellent addition. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the large TV for movie night. It was a fun week!

Very nice house

Great Vacation Rental

The beach house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It accommodated our group of 14 very well. We enjoyed having a pool and hot tub in addition to the ocean. Ken was great to work with and addressed any issues/questions in a timely manner. We look forward to staying again!

Fall Break

We had three families enjoy the property. Everything was clean, and comfortable. We loved walking out to the beach and pool right from the property. Larry was great, and welcomed us with a fruit basket. He even brought us cake to enjoy. It wa a wonderful vacation.

Family fun at the Beach at Ft. Morgan

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ft. Morgan. There were 13 of us ranging from 2 yrs old to Grandparents. This was our second year to stay at the Recovery Room. The house was spacious and well furnished as we expected, The pool was especially enjoyed by the kiddos. The manager was great. We were greeted with goody basket and breakfast food so we didn't have to immediately run to grocery store. A+ vacation!

Beach Living

If you want to walk out your back door and and be directly on the beach this is the property for you. Having a pool and hot tub makes it usable any time of day. This property removes you from a slightly busier environment and is very quiet and you don’t have to share your beach spot. We had two large families and in-laws and had enough space to spread out when needed. I definitely recommend this property.

Fun week

The house fit our families needs perfectly. We enjoyed the large dinning table and den area. The proximity to the beach was amazing. The pool was clean and a nice bonus. We enjoyed the lack of crowds on the beach. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of our unit. We did notify the property manager and they addressed the issue promptly.

Bauer Wedding 2019

Our stay was amazing! Larry was an outstanding host. He and his family opened their hearts to us by making us a sign that read “this is our happy place” and made us a lemon pound cake! Larry even brought us trash bags because we forgot to bring them with us. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We couldn’t have had a better time and a better place to get married. Thank you Mr. Gordon from our hearts to yours!

Absolutely fantastic!

We had a party of 9 guests (was originally supposed to be 12), and we all had a fantastic time. The house had tons of room and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We never had to leave the house. The pool, hot tub, and beach provided plenty of entertainment. Larry, the property manager, was great and kept in constant contact with us especially since we were there during to major wave of change with the coronavirus outbreak. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay! This definitely has gone our favorites list and we hope to visit again!

Family Vacation

Our family takes a vacation together every 2 years. This year we chose to meet in Fort Morgan. There were 15 people for our stay. There was room for everyone to have a bed very comfortably. Kitchen provided plenty of space for cooking with a huge table so we could all eat together. Highlight was the location to the beach. Just steps from a very private beach. Larry, the property manager was great! Check in was a breeze and he was available any time we needed anything. He brought us the famous pound cake and it was great! Would stay here again without hesitation. Already missing our vacation and our home away from home!

Great beachfront property for a family vacation

We've always vacationed on 30A or the Destin area, but wanted to escape the crowds this summer. A family member suggested Fort Morgan, which led me to find this property while searching for Orange Beach rentals. The house was a great fit for our multigenerational family with grandkids from 4 up to grandparents. There were a lot of thoughtful components that made it perfect for large groups, like the layout on the top floor, the massive commercials refrigerator with a separate freezer, wine fridge and ice maker; the ample dish ware, glasses and cooking utensils that meant we didn't have to run a load of laundry after every single meal. It was very intentional for accommodating large groups, and the direct beach access can’t be beat. We set up our beach tents on the first day of the trip and collapsed them at the end of every day without having to drag them back to the house, which was a very nice tough. The house is a "duplex," meaning it is shared with another group—worth noting because if you have an even larger group, you can rent both sides and accommodate even more people—and we had a similar multigenerational family staying next to us for the week who had kids the same ages as ours, and they all loved to play in the pool together. All of the interior space is your own, but the back patio, pool, parking and beach access are shared, which makes this an ideal fit for even bigger families looking for a home(s) to accommodate 20-30 people. 10/10 would go back here again.

Beach Wedding

We rented both sides (Recovery room east and west) and absolutely had a blast. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach at the end of the catwalk. The house had more than enough room for our group. The house was clean and the location was great. We did have a cold front come in the first day so we didn't get to use the pool but it has two hot tubs that were perfect. Larry was my contact for both sides and made it clear that if something was right, he would have it fixed immediately. Great customer service!

Thanksgiving - Family Holiday

Older property but worked well for a group of 11. Great having the beach just outside the door. Loved sitting on our deck watching the Blue Angels practice right over our beach. Some minor maintenance issues: molded shower curtain, broken latch on upstairs slider door, some light bulbs out, ice maker did not work. Suggestions: outside deck needs sanding/refinishing. A hot tub would be great for the cooler months. We were a little surprised that there were NO extras such as coffee filters, spices, extra trash bags, etc - we've typically found these in previous rentals.

Great family vacation spot!!!!

Larry was wonderful!!! Had a couple of breakfast items and a fruit basket waiting on us when we arrived!!!! This house is great for family vacations. The pool the hot tub and the beach access was incredible. Short walk to the beach!!! Amenities were perfect. Kitchen fully stocked for cooking. Plenty of parking. The beach was so close and so private we were able to leave all beach items in the sand all week. Didn’t have to drag everything up every day!!! I don’t have enough great words to describe this house. And LARRY well you are the best!!! Called and checked on us even called to tell me the house was ready earlier than normal check in time. We have a great time!!!! Will come back again and again!!!

Great Family vacation/wedding

Our family had a Wonderful time at this property. Beautiful place!!! We had 13 people with plenty of room. Extremely nice to have an ice machine too. No problems with the house. Parking was not easy, but we managed. Just ask Larry for suggestions. Clean pool and hot tub. I believe someone was there cleaning both daily. We loved Larry Very helpful and accommodating. We didn’t realize when we booked it was a duplex. It probably said somewhere when booking, but we never saw it. Larry mentioned it after we booked. The only other issue we had was the 7th room was not an actual room. It is an open area at the top of the stairs. No one wanted that spot. If you have young ones, I would think they would love it since it is a trundle bed and comfortable. So it really is just 6 rooms. Beds were comfortable. There is one room downstairs that was great for my parents since they would not have been able to do the stairs. I was a little worried the kitchen would not accommodate, but we really never had an issue. We booked this place for our wedding and it could not have gone better or been more beautiful!!! Thanks for a great stay! Would book again :-)

Poor reimbursement for major maintaince issue during entire stay

Our party,4 families with children (infants to teens), found the home to be beautiful with a wonderful layout & plenty of room to accommodate us all. We would have gladly rated it higher if not for a major maintenance problem- one of the air conditioners was not fully functional the entire length of our stay. Larry, the property manager, responded promptly by having an AC repairman service and inspect the units the 2nd day. Poor diagnosis by the repairman over 2 separate visits, meant the problem was written off as “this is the best the units can do”. We were given recommendations to keep all curtains closed and to not use the sliding doors to the back deck but instead use the door to the parking lot for pool & beach access- removing a major appeal to renting this house and convenience of the layout. We purchased 2 additional standing fans to help circulate air in the bedrooms (which Larry reimbursed) and changed meal plans as to not use the oven to avoid additional heating. After 3 nights of high temperatures upstairs, Larry brought a 2nd portable AC unit (presence of the 1st unit at check in should have alerted us to an existing problem) and told us that we could move both units through the day to try to cool more of the house. Moving 2 large portable units up and down the stairs would have been an extreme inconvenience for anyone but with young children on different sleep schedules it was next to impossible. Thus, we had to prioritize which rooms to cool & the rest were left to sweat it out. After 5 days of uncomfortable temperatures a repairman from a 2nd company was called out and identified the problem as corrosion of the coils which meant the unit was not functioning properly and irreparable. Larry scheduled the unit to be replaced the day we were to leave. Larry informed us that he would talk to the owners about a possible refund because of our “discomfort” and invited us to come back under more favorable conditions at an unspecified discount. Having paid premium prices for a summer rental we would not have rented this house or even stayed past the first night had we known that the issue would not be completely addressed during our stay. As of this review, we have been refunded our damage deposit and a meager $500 for our discomfort. Larry has passed on our letter to the owners detailing the discomfort on our stay and the daily inconvenience of trying to remediate the problem ourselves. We have yet to hear back from the owners.

Thanksgiving Week 2.0

What a great adventure, or should I say repeat adventure!! This was our 2nd Thanksgiving week stay at this property. As always great accommodations, great beach, great family enjoyment. Can't recommend this property and owner enough.

Not as advertised

This property showed great potential until we got there and found the linens in poor conditions, not cleaned and things needing repairs. After my family and I cleaned it up, we managed to have a good time. Wasn't what I expected but the beach made up what the house lacked in.

We fell in love with the Fort Morgan area during a visit many years ago. We've celebrated family time in the area every year since. We love visiting in the peak of summer, during the fall season, as a family for Thanksgiving or Christmas and during the fresh days of spring. In 2010, we took the plunge and bought Recovery Room West; then we added Recovery Room East to the family in 2016. We hope you enjoy our little piece of beach paradise as much as we do!
