Be sure all appliances are turned off except for the dishwasher. Please start the dishwasher before you leave. Thank you!

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Please do not use our fireplaces. Please keep quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am on weekends and 9:00 pm and 7:00 am on weekdays.

Please start dishwasher when checking out and close and lock all windows and doors. And turn off lights when leaving as well.

No filming inside. If extra cleaning is required or damage done to our property an extra fee commiserate to the damage will be charged to you.

I would rent this home again! The home was better than anticipated! So many comforts, everything we needed and more. So much attention to detail for our needs. We’re based in Denver, and this home is our landing spot whenever we visit our daughter and four grandchildren here in Abilene. Having our own space makes those family trips extra special. We’re grandparents to eight, lovers of the outdoors, and happiest when we’re hiking, skiing, kayaking, or gathered with family.

Why they chose this property

I’ve ALWAYS had a soft spot for historic homes and dreamed of owning one someday. I just never imagined it would be in Abilene, Texas! We were instantly drawn to the charm of the Sayles Boulevard neighborhood and fell in love. The neighbors are wonderful, the streets are quiet, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind—or host our lively grand‑kiddos.

What makes this property unique

I think the age and the style of the home make it so unique! I did exensive research when restoring this home and wanting it to save the Spanish charm of our home but add modern amenities! And guests comment constantly and on the decor and how peaceful our home is!
