Historic Cabin in Wake Forest Downtown.

Tucked into a private, secluded setting yet just a short walk from downtown Wake Forest, this cabin offers the best of both worlds — quiet seclusion with everything nearby.

This is not a hotel-style property. Our cabin is a historic home, nearly 100 years old, with its original character and charm. It offers a simple, peaceful, and intimate setting for guests who appreciate history and are looking for a quiet place to rest, reconnect, and enjoy quality time with loved ones.

For safety and to help maintain quiet hours, we have exterior cameras located around the cabin.
• Guest Policy: Only guests listed on the reservation may be on the property at any time; outside visitors are NOT permitted. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests. Violations of this policy will result in a $100 fee per additional guest, per night.
• Late Checkout: Late checkout until 12:00 PM is available for an additional $50. Requests must be submitted with payment by 8:00 PM the night before checkout. Unauthorized late checkouts will incur a $100 fee, as this policy helps us accommodate our cleaning crew’s schedule. No smoking in the premises, the violation of this policy will result in a $200 fee. Please note that due to the age of the historic cabin, we’re unable to offer accessible/ADA-compliant access.

We were completely blown away at how charming this cabin is! The location is quiet and a stones throw from lots of restaurants. And yes, the hot tub is awesome great communication from the host as well!

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT!!! The cabin itself was very nice and very clean however had I known that my family could not pick me up from the airport and take me there and visit for a short time, I never would have rented this. This owner allows NO visitors, day or night. This is unreasonable to me. On a 4 night/5 day booking she expects that you have no visitors at all or there are addition charges even if they don't stay over night. We chose not to rent a car and just have family members transport us. She did eventually cancel the 900 extra charge for visitors but please be mindfull of this. Also this cabin is not accessible. There are no stair railings and lots of uneven surfaces. It is not a good choice for handicapped, the elderly or children. Overall we had a pleasant time but certainly would not rebook. The host was very professional but not friendly.

The guest did not follow the cabin rules, which are clearly stated at the time of booking. Because this is a historic property, all relevant information, rules, and expectations are fully disclosed on the VRBO listing and dashboard. The reservation was made for two guests, but this rule was violated when additional people were brought onto the property. The guest also invited visitors to use the hot tub, despite the listing clearly stating that visitors are not permitted on the property. Additionally, biohazardous items were left behind, requiring our cleaning crew to perform additional cleaning, for which we were charged an extra fee. As a courtesy, we kindly waived the charge for the additional guests, although other homeowners may have chosen to cancel the reservation due to these violations. We also clearly state that, due to the age and historic nature of the cabin, the property does not offer accessibility accommodations. We encourage future guests to carefully read the entire listing and review the photos before booking so they can make sure the property is a good fit for their needs and have the best possible experience.
