SOUTH CAY, 3-Min Walk to Gulf Beach, Large Pool, 2 Master BR

LARGE Heated Pool, 2 MB Suites. "South Cay" is very close to Gulf Beach (look us up). Only 11 houses to Gulf beach - close to shopping and restaurants. Each Master-BR-suite has a bathroom, a king-size bed, TV, dedicated deck. South Cay has been an island rental for 13+ years and we keep making upgrades and improvements (so, there may be small differences vs posted pics). A rental agreement will be sent as soon as we receive a booking request. Once the rental agreement has been completed and signed, your booking request is confirmed. 

South Cay has two master suites, each with king beds, dedicated bathroom and deck. Guests can contact us via phone, text, or email. All this information and much more are detailed in the rental agreement and in the Welcome document that we send out with the South Cay access code, prior to arrival. 

We love pets, but South Cay is a NO-PET property. South Cay is also a NO-SMOKING property. That includes inside the house and/or outside, on the property. South Cay is available to people with allergies or people who are very sensitive to smoke residue. For these reasons we cannot allow exceptions.

Perfect family getaway location.

Out of the 26 years of going to Annamarie Island and staying in all sorts of houses throughout the years this house is special. It’s more than a house you rent. It’s a home and it feels like it from the time you walk in very close to the beach huge pool Lots of sunshine in the pool, only thing you need to bring is your clothes. I hope to stay in this home again.

Southcay Stay

This was our family’s first vacation at Anna Maria Island and we couldn’t have been happier with Southcay. Its location was perfect. A minute walk to one of the best beaches. The pool was beautiful, the house immaculate at the perfect size for our family of Five. We can’t wait to go back!

Anna Maria is so Beautiful

This home is very continently located on the island without being in the middle of a lot of traffic. The layout was great for our family with two master BR and 2 additional bedrooms. The only drawback was that the pool fountain was on a timer and I was not able just to go sit out there with a coffee in the morning and enjoy the waterfall sound when I wanted to.

We are pleased you enjoyed the house. As stated in the rental agreement, the water fountain is by default set up to turn on in the afternoon for one or two hours, because that is what most guests told us they prefer. However, if you prefer to have it on a different schedule, on on all the time, just let us know, and we can remotely change it to your preferred schedule.

Spectacular Spring Break

The location is incredible, in a delightful and walkable neighborhood that is just a few minutes walk from the most incredible beaches and restaurants. Summer Beach Vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation. We traveled with our adult children and we were all very comfortable. The location was premium (5 min walk to the beach) and the house had everything we could possibly need. The communication and checking process was easy. Wonderful Experience at South Cay.

The property was better than shown. It is beautiful, clean, and worked perfectly for six adults. We enjoyed the pool; the front balcony/Lanai, and all of the amenities offered. Everything was in apple pie order and the hosts were in contact with us when we needed them. I would highly recommend this lovely home. Just be sure to take care of it as if it were your own.

Comfortable beach house for family vacation

This is a comfortable and pleasant beach house for a family vacation. Everything you need is provided.It is close to the beach and includes a nice pool in the backyard. It is also close to many restaurants and the shopping district. Most things are in walking distance. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and inclusive experience on Anna Maria Island.

Great home away from home close to the beach!

We spent two wonderful weeks in paradise. Our hosts were amazing - we had two small things we needed help with and they were simply wonderful and helpful. They even followed up later to make sure things were good. The house is even nicer in person. The kitchen is well stocked and there is pretty much everything you need. There is some beach stuff and what isn't there, is easily rentable. The house is almost exactly a 1/4 mile walk to the beach and close to so many restaurants and shops. And the pool is amazing!! I would gladly take my family back. One of my favorite VRBO properties I've stayed in!!!

Great experience staying at South Cay!!!!

We had a great time staying at South Cay. The house is just as advertised and was clean as a whistle on arrival. The house is very close to the beach access, just crossing over one street. We rented a golf cart from an outside business and there is some parking near the beach access. But the truth is, we really did not need the golf cart to get to the beach as it is <5 min walk. We really liked sitting on the top balcony in the late afternoon. All appliances worked great, the AC was just perfect. The pool is HUGE!!! My favorite part about the pool was seeing it at night as the LED lights were all around the pool. It was very nice. Overall, the accessibility to the beach, nearby shops and restaurants were the best part of South Cay.

A spotless rental in a great location with a BIG pool!

Our family of 4 did not need as much space as this house provides, but as our 6th annual summer vacation to AMI we have come to have 2 top priorities in a rental home: location and pool. We are big fans of Ginny & Jane E's, which is right around the corner. And this year, we fell in love with The Porch restaurant, only steps away from South Cay. The house was spotless, which is not always the case in a rental that isn't brand new. There are multiple porches and balconies that can be enjoyed when it's not the middle of the summer and doesn't feel like the surface of the sun in Florida ;) Our kids are 9 & 12 and really enjoy more pool time than beach time. We had a good balance of both, but they especially loved having a deep end for jumping and enough space to play for hours. We also really loved the new French inspired Mademoiselle restaurant and bakery - especially because the Crepery on Bridge St. is now only opened on weekends.

Four adults, two kids stayed here over the Christmas holiday, and we had a wonderful time. The house itself is well-cared for and incredibly well-located. If you're not an Eagles fan you might not want to be QUITE so close to Sharkey's during football season, but otherwise -- being four blocks to pine and two blocks to one of the most incredible beaches in America could not be beat. The screened-in porch right off of the kitchen was wonderful place to have dinner or just read a book. The beach wagon and chairs and buckets were a great bonus. We never used the pool -- it didn't get super sunny back there when we were visiting around the shortest days of the year, so the water wasn't warm enough to swim -- but it looked lovely. One tip: if you're at all picky about pillows, bring your own. But the sheets and down comforters were a lovely touch and towels were great. All in all, would 100% stay here again. You can't go wrong.

Thank you for your nice review! We are pleased that you had a wonderful time at South Cay. Not sure I understand the Sharky’s comment, because Sharky’s is miles away from us. Yes, we are very close to the beach (0.15 mile, one block) and Pine Avenue (0.2 mile). Yes, Christmas is that time of the year when the sun is at its lowest and the days are shortest. The pool heater is set at 84 degrees F, but of course we have no control of the weather conditions and I know the week you were there was unusually cold for Florida. We were there the second week of January and except for one day, the weather was warm (75 degrees +), and the pool was fantastic.

Great stay during 1st time visit to Anna Maria

This was our first time visiting Anna Maria Island with our family. We searched long and hard for the right amount of space and accommodations for us. Our family has not been able to all be together for a long time for to school and work so it was a very much needed vacation. This home looked great online and had just the right amount of rooms and space we needed. It was important for us to be close to the beach and have a nice size pool. The attached balconies to the primary were and living room area were a nice touch. The decor and aesthetic met the beach home vibe we wanted and the organization and cleanliness definitely was top notch. There were some leftover items in the kitchen and pool area that we were able to use that came in handy, maybe some other small things would have been nice to have but because of its location on the Island we were able to obtain things very easy. My family definitely wants to comeback and did mention they wouldn’t mind coming back to this home as they enjoyed the accommodations and location to everything. Great host and communication, thank you for making our long awaited family vacation to Anna Maria Island one of the most memorable and enjoyable times we have had in a long time!

Family Fun

This was our 4th time to AMI and first time to this house. In previous trips we’ve stayed north of Pine in newer, more open concept homes, and this house and location were perfect for our mixed age group family - 2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 kids and 1 aunt who worked from the house during the week. The screened in porches were a highlight, and we felt they more than doubled the livable space. They also made it possible for everyone to be home and yet still have personal space. We really appreciated the peace of mind that comes with having the pool completely separate from the living areas (and the pool is as advertised - large and nice!). Though it’s not as high end as some houses in AMI, it is thoughtfully set up and well maintained. The owners shared plentiful information on both the house and the neighborhood - a far better set of recommendations than prior properties. The location made walking to the beach (as well as to breakfast and ice cream) with our kids a breeze. Close to everything and yet still a quiet and peaceful street - especially during the weekdays. We would definitely book this property again under similar circumstances.
