This home was spotless, well‑kept, and incredibly comfortable. The host went above and beyond—she even had her husband come by to shovel the snow from the porch and walkway so my 84‑year‑old father could get in and out safely. That kind of care is rare and so appreciated.The property itself is cozy, welcoming, and perfectly located. The neighborhood is charming and peaceful, making it an easy place to relax and feel at home.I highly recommend this stay and truly hope to return.

Galesburg Getaway

Absolutely wonderful! Loved the thoughtfulness of those delicious pasteries after a day on the road. There was everything you might need in the whole house--well equipped kitchen, lots off extra bedding and two bottles of wine. I come to Galesburg fairly often and will definitely stay here again. This is a jewel of a house in Galesburg! Perfectly clean and well decorated inside. The host was thoughtful, very responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood was walkable (and the host had even provided a walking tour guide book). There were great restaurants (Landmark Cafe - yum!) and breweries (Reserve Artisan Ales) within walking distance. We hope to stay here again when we come back to town.

Comfort and peace describes this stay a week before Christmas. Such a warm welcome! We walked into a warm house from the icy wind with a Christmas tree lit, a box of fresh pastries from a local bakery and a sweet note. It was like home away from home. Everything you need is there! Perfectly located close to my childhood BFF and the wedding location we were there for, which gave me plenty of time to relax. Both bedrooms are upstairs, so if you can’t do stairs keep looking. Highly recommend Carriage House Bakery, Iron Spike, Orange Cup (coffee), and Bethel Baptist Church, all nearby.
My spot for quiet time. Coffee, tree, warm blanket, a good book. Merry Christmas!!

We were in town for a family funeral. Before I found the property we were all going to stay in a hotel. This property was very close to my in-laws. It was perfect. Spacious open from living area to dining to kitchen. Love the bath and a half. All the amenities were there. Love the decor and I for making it feel like home. This place was very clean and the property owner was spot on responsive. Would definitely recommend this property.

Everything was wonderful! This house was so clean, I did not see a spec of dust anywhere! It was cozy and charming and perfect for me and my husband. We come out to the Galesburg area often in the warmer months and definitely will be staying again.

Lovely updated property in Galesburg that was perfect for our household that was visiting family in town. No need for over priced hotels or cramped arrangements with family.
