Cute place. Ideal setup up for your pets. Great location.
Great place for us and our dogs. They really enjoyed the indoor play space. Excellent location for getting around the city. Plenty of street parking. Eclectic space that met the price point. The owner runs a dog daycare in the basement unit so you can hear some barking during the day but no noise at night. We definitely plan on staying here again next time we're in the City.
Whether you have any pets or are a pet lover, this place is for you! It's a very pet friendly place with great cat/dog decor. The disco ball on the ceiling is a great add-on along with the balloon animal poodle neon sign on the wall. Everything felt very cozy, homely and relaxing. I will definitely be looking to stay here again when I am back in town!!!
The host was rude and complained about our dogs barkimg even though she's running a dog boarding facility on-site and we had to listen to her dogs barking the entire time.
Stayed over Vday weekend— no complaints, space was nice and served my needs perfectly. Had lots of animal/pet related decor and gave the space a nice aesthetic. Owner was communicative and easy to work with! The space had nice amenities like towels, linens, projector, appliances, and etc. Neighborhood was very cute too, walking distance to a bunch of restaurants.

Booked Months In Advance…Still Issues
I booked this stay 4 months in advance, yet upon arrival 3 hours after the scheduled check-in time, I was shocked to find the unit COMPLETELY uncleaned from the previous guests. Contacting the host to resolve this issue proved difficult, with both myself and the host's partner struggling to reach her. As a result, I was forced to leave the unit for several hours while it was being cleaned, which wasn't completed until 9:30 PM. While I did receive a refund for that first night, the initial experience left me so uncomfortable that I chose not to stay at the property for the remainder of my reservation. Ultimately, I only used the property for one day out of the four days and three nights I had booked.
Great budget property if you can tolerate dogs barking
The check in process was smooth and painless. The property is located close to highways and downtown ( aside from peak traffic hours). Close to lots of restaurants. The property is decorated with very unique furniture and artifacts that a dog/cat lovers will surely enjoy. The living area is rather small due to half of it being reserved for dog/cat boarding. The kitchen is well stocked and functional. Bedroom lights needs some bulbs replaced. Backyard is large and well equipped with tables chair and small pool. The biggest issue was neighbors doggy day care. For 2 nights sharp 5am the dogs started barking that went on for pretty much whole day with some respite in the middle. If you can tolerate dogs barking early in the morning when you are on vacation, and looking for a budget property for 2 adults and a small child, this might be for you. We didnt have a particularly peaceful sleep on both nights. The owner was responsive but not much they can do if neighbors run a dog day care.

About the host
Hosted by Miranda
I'm an animal lover and small business owner. I grew up on a hobby farm in Wisconsin. My boyfriend and I love life and all it has to offer, from good food to good music to travel.
Why they chose this property
Bridgeport is known as the community of the future. I love it here. It's not congested like the northside but has so many hidden gems, easy parking and so close within 10-15 mins to so many other fun neighborhoods like Chinatown, Greektown, Pilsen (good hispanic culture), West loop (meat packing market), Hyde Park and Downtown. We are also very close to the lake 31st street beach, all the museums, McCormick Place, Sox Stadium and Soldier Field.
What makes this property unique
My property is unique bc it tailors to animal lovers and people traveling with pets. We have on sight grooming and homemade gluten free preservative free Organic dog treats by Bow Wow Barkery and services to watch your pet if they have any kind of separation anxiety while your out or if you just want them to have some socialization. If your dog is a consistent barker daycare or boarding if not here somewhere is required as we live here too.
