Comfortable, quiet place for enjoying a Penn State weekend. Great location for easy access to State College. Doan's barbeque next door had great take out! Very clean and well equipped. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this cabin!
The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and some items that are annoying to buy for a weekend away (olive oil, butter, etc) were there. The space was less rustic than expected and very comfortable for our relay team’s home base. Thank you!
Kris and her husband were wonderful they went above and beyond to meet our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone going to a Penn State game. We loved it and will be back soon.
Had a great weekend at the cabin, despite rainy weather. Owners were very attentive, and the location was great for visits to State Parks and Penn State.
We rented the cabin for 7 of us to stay. There was plenty of room for us all. It was well stocked for all our needs, and the host Kristin was fabulous! So generous and kind. I would go stay again.
Came here with a big group of friends for a winter cabin getaway and this was the perfect spot! This cabin has a great setup and great living area for hanging out with friends and catching up. The host was super helpful and responsive during our stay! Our entire group would recommend this cabin to anyone coming up to the area.
This is a cute, well appointed and cared for cabin. The owners were very attentive and responsive. We enjoyed the proximity to State College and Whipple Dam State Park.
We had people travelling from NEPA and Northeast Ohio to meet up for a birthday. Everyone commented on how great the space was, on how clean everything was, and simply how cute everything was. Communication with the host was great. We booked months in advance and every time I posed a question to the host I received a quick answer. The host even made sure to recognize the birthday we were celebrating. The kitchen had everything we needed, the grill was great. My husband commented that we should stay here again should we ever find ourselves out that way. Thanks for a great weekend!
Absolutely great cabin with plenty of room for us all and central to Whipple dam state park/Rothrock state forest. Well stocked and great communication from the owners.

Your group has been absolutely wonderful and we’re always happy when you book with us. Thank you for your generous review!
We're from New York dropping off our daughter to an out-of-state college for the first time. Thankfully, we found this beautiful, clean and spacious gem to stay in with all amenities. The cabin rests on a scenic, peaceful location surrounded by trees. It is perfect for nature walks and much needed quiet time. It is conveniently located just minutes away from town. If you're here to either visit your kid in college, or drop them off, it is is less than a half hour away from Penn State University! The host was absolutely accommodating and gracious. Communication was excellent all throughout. We are very thankful to them, and would definitely ask to book here again when we visit PA. Truthfully, everything concerning our stay here was perfect, and made our tense situation (if you're dropping off a kid to college for the first time, you know what I mean!) so much easier to manage. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!
We had such a great time at this cabin! The cabin was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and left instructions that made it easy to use amenities and check out without issues. We were able to use ride share to get back and forth from downtown state college. The property and location were beautiful and peaceful. Definitely will stay again!

Thank you for your gracious review! We are happy that you enjoyed your stay, and we couldn’t have asked for better guests. We hope to have the privilege of hosting you again.
Kris and Joe are exceptional hosts. The property was well stocked, and clean and cozy. Their communication prior to and during the stay was great. They include a binder that is full of information for the property, as well as menus and pamphlets with activities in the area. Everything about this trip was perfect and we'll definitely be booking with them again! If I could give them more than five stars I definitely would!
We stayed here for PSU family weekend and comfortably slept 3 adults and 3 children (two of whom are the size of adults). They have thought of everything here! Kitchen is fully stocked for making a family dinner…rooms are super clean…and beds are cozy! There are two screened porches, which were a lovely place to have coffee in the morning and read a book. Owner was great and communicated with us leading up to our arrival, even giving us ideas of things to do. And the drive to State College was only 20 minutes! We will definitely be back!
I did NOT want to write a review about the coziest cabin EVER because I selfishly want to keep everyone else unaware of how incredible this home is!! Our family had the most amazing weekend here. Ample cozy quilts, comfy beds, yummy coffee on the screened in porch, cooked stickies (a thoughtful gift from the host), beautiful trees, ample space for our teens and their friends, snacks galore provided by the host, close drive to PSU. Everything was perfect! I wish we could have stayed for a week and explored the surrounding area. Next time!!! We will definitely stay here again!! Fingers crossed that this amazing cabin will be available because the best kept secret like this place won’t stay hidden for long!

We are so glad you stayed with us! You and your family are always welcome back, and we promise to treat you like royalty! Thank you for this wonderful review.
Details of this home show the host cares about you as a guest. We were there for outdoor recreation and the state forest, but we could see why the place would be popular for Penn State Games. Any drawbacks were overshadowed two-fold by the positives. For instance, road noise from close proximity to Route 26 was countered by very convenient access and a quiet interior. The view of the back of a commercial pole building was countered by forest surroundings, a private screened in porch, and no other neighbors in sight. The age of the cabin was countered by great character, a super vibe, comfortable beds, efficient climate control, and more. The kitchen was so well stocked, I could have made banana bread with our bruised bananas if I had had time! The host answered every question I had with kindness and efficiency. The listing is very accurate. Keep in mind, there is only one bathroom and no washer/dryer, outdoor space beyond the porches, or garage access. But who wants to do laundry on vacation?! And the porch is fantastic and the trees keep the cars shaded and cool. Finally, the location was absolutely perfect for exploring the best of what the beautiful forest has to offer. This one is a winner!
We came up to visit family and take a college tour at Penn State. This would be a great location for anyone coming up for a college tour-or game! Only one suggestion- a mirror in each bedroom to cut down on traffic in the one shared bathroom. Super cute and well equipped! Thank you!
Our stay at the cabin was really nice - the perfect spot to meet up with family. It was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Location is great for outdoor exploration, as well as convenient to State College. Communications with the hosts was easy and responsive.
