The property is a 5-6 minute walk to downtown so easy access to shops, bars and restaurants. This includes Maya Walk so getting there for caving and ruins tours was easy. Far enough away to avoid the noise. Host was responsive. It was a little confusing to get the TV to work so i could watch the Super Bowl but we eventually got there. No regrets.

Clean, Comfortable, and in a Great Location

We loved our stay at Gran Martina's abode. It is located in downtown San Ignacio with just a short walk to the tour agencies, groceries, local shops. It has a full kitchen which is important to us as we like to cook most meals while enjoying some of the local fare at restaurants.

Spacious, walking distance to the ruins and to town center, super responsive host. Comfortable bed in main bedroom. Second room w futon had no ac (there was a ceiling fan) so we used couch as second bed and it was comfortable for sleeping. They provided fresh bread, eggs and bananas which provided breakfast for all three days. Great coffee maker with milk foamer (wonderful for coffee lovers who want to get a tasty fix in the morning). Easy to use laundry in the home. Great water pressure in shower. Sparsely furnished but had everything we needed. Perfect place to rest after a day of exploring. Highly recommend.
