Story Road is a handcrafted, Scandinavian-inspired home designed around simplicity, comfort, and its wooded surroundings. Oversized windows, custom furniture, energy-efficient systems, and clean modern finishes create a distinctive rural stay in the Finger Lakes.

The home includes three queen bedrooms and three full bathrooms with heated floors; the blue bathroom also features a towel warmer. The fully equipped kitchen has high-end appliances and an induction cooktop, while the main living area includes a pellet stove, Smart TV, projection screen, and Wi-Fi speeds exceeding 100 Mbps.

Perfect getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay in this perfect chalet. Everything was immaculately cleaned, and the hosts provided nearly everything we needed. Sunrise in the hot tub was excellent! Highly recommend if you are heading to this area.

Honeymoon Retreat

We had an amazing time in Dansville for our honeymoon. The home was perfect for us to relax and take in the nature sights. The house is very remote but easily drive able to restaurants and places by 10-15 minutes. We were able to see many different waterfalls at Stonybrook and Letchworth State Parks. We also took a drive to Niagara. It was a clean place to stay with a full kitchen.

Beautiful, modern, and relaxing getaway

We loved everything about this house and wish we could make it our permanent home. The house was beautifully designed and has a luxurious, modern, artsy feel that we truly enjoyed. It is obvious that the owners have great design taste and take very good care of the property. The setting is very relaxing, and we enjoyed the view.

Pictures of the inside are very accurate and the house inside is very nice. However, table and chairs on the porch were very dirty so I had to wash them down myself. Had to sweep debris off the porch as well. The "backyard" is nothing like the pictures on the website. Yard is overgrown and the fire pit looks nothing like the pictures. I'm quite sure the maintenance people prepped the inside but neglected to do anything on the outside except maybe turning the hot tub on. Owners should really make the pics on the websites more accurate to what's really there.

The outdoor area has naturally changed over time, and we have since updated the listing photos to better reflect the current property. The home is nestled among pine trees, which is one of the features many guests enjoy about the setting, but it also means that pollen, pine needles, and natural debris can accumulate quickly, especially when there is wind or changing weather conditions. While the exterior is cleaned and maintained prior to each guest's arrival, these natural elements can return shortly afterward. Thank you again for your comments. We are always working to ensure our listings accurately represent the homes and provide guests with the best possible experience.

We went to the Finger Lakes and Letchworth State Park for our anniversary trip. The place was peaceful and private, which we really appreciated. After a long day of hiking, we loved relaxing in the hot tub while gazing at the stars.The kitchen was well-equipped, so cooking was easy and enjoyable. We also loved the electric fireplace in the living room — it made everything feel so cozy. The bathroom had heated floors, and the towel warmers were a wonderful bonus.The bed and comforter were incredibly comfortable. We’d definitely love to come back again!

Upon arrival late in the evening on a snowy, Friday night I opened the front door and was greeted by the room dimly illuminated by the embers of the pellet stove. That moment set the tone for the entire trip.We had the perfect relaxing getaway after a long stressful week. The dimmable lights by the hot tub and the string lights leading to the sauna extended the ambiance from inside. After using the amenities we cozied up with a glass of wine by the pellet stove and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.The property is positioned in a beautiful location near the lake. We visited local breweries and restaurants, all in which were delicious and had their unique qualities. The Chalet was extremely well-kept and and clean. I enjoyed going through the binder and reading the story behind the building and the eco-friendly solutions they had.We unfortunately did not have the chance to spend time in the Fox Den, but it was beautifully designed and had a karaoke machine, old record player, games, and a theater nook.10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone. Every detail was impeccable and we hope to visit again.

* Lawn care may occur during your stay. Please remove personal belongings and games from the yard.
* The hot tub is serviced weekly. Advance notice will be provided, and guests must wait 30 minutes after service before using it.
* Snow removal crews service multiple properties, so brief delays may occur during heavy snowfall.
