About this property
Spacious Hilltop Okemo Chalet. Walk to Lift, Stunning Views. Get first tracks!
This beautiful and welcoming chalet has social areas for the whole group to gather or spread out without anyone feeling crowded. It has Okemo Mountain as its backyard, with super-accessible skiing and hiking. The house has excellent lift access, with the Sunshine Quad chairlift located a short walk above the driveway. Get to the Southface of Okemo before others can make it to this side of the mountain! Or choose a four-minute drive to the Okemo Clocktower Base, approaching from above, avoiding the traffic on the main mountain access roads.
Access to the house is off Trailside Road, on a short private drive.
Free late departure can often be granted so your group may enjoy a full day on the mountain. Please ask.
We are very welcoming and offer a speedy booking response.
Picture your stay:
The house has three floors...
• Main level with open-concept kitchen, living room, dining space, sunroom, full bath and bedroom
• Top level with two bedrooms - each with ensuite baths
• Finished basement with a second social area with bunk beds, laundry, full bath and a private queen bedroom
Enter through the main entrance via an easy-access ramp, or the basement entrance with a ski storage mudroom for coming in after a day of skiing or hiking.
Enjoy sitting in the sunken living room with fireplace, expansive mountain views, and a large television. Enjoy the fully-stocked open-concept kitchen, where you can be at the center of the action while preparing or serving meals for the group in the central dining area.
A large and expandable table with plenty of extra seating is a great space to come together for special group meals. Step down into the sunroom, a cozy nook off the main floor surrounded by forest views, allowing you to enjoy a book or get some work done using the computer desk and monitor.
The upper level provides two roomy and private bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. There is a connecting catwalk that looks out over the action.
The basement provides additional entertainment including a TV, foosball table, and an additional living room to lounge. There is a large bathroom with a closed-off dressing area, keeping it private from the rest of the space. This is an excellent space for kids and teens, or a family with small kids that wants their own space. The basement’s quiet cedar-lined queen bedroom is tucked away, accessible through a doorway that separates it from the four bunkbeds and social area.
All four bathrooms are renovated full baths.
The house is generously equipped with fresh linens, towels, hotel bath products, and anything else you might need for a truly relaxing mountain getaway.
Though the road will be plowed after any significant snowfall, all-wheel/ four-wheel drive or very good traction is recommended in the snowy season.
Walk up the private drive to access the Sunshine Quad lift. And in Vermont's wonderful warmer months, just head right up the hill for great hiking to the Okemo Watchtower, or enjoy easy road access to Ludlow and the rest of Vermont. Autumn is simply beautiful as you can see the full range of colors in the surrounding hills. There is an expansive deck for hanging out while enjoying unobstructed views.
Please note the following:
- Occupancy is set at no more than ten people by order of the Vermont Fire Marshal. We simply cannot host more than ten guests at any one time.
- Sorry, pets are not allowed
- Absolutely no smoking
- Parking is limited to no more than four vehicles
- There is a Ring camera with automatic courtesy lights at the front of the house
Please reach out with any questions! We are more than happy to answer anything about the chalet, Okemo, or Vermont in general.

About the host
Hosted by Nate
We love gathering with friends and family in this house, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
This is an amazing corner of Okemo. It is high up in the mountain, so you can access the South Face area before the crowds arrive, yet there is very easy access to the Clocktower Base and Ludlow.
What makes this property unique
We have worked to create a really cool chalet vibe, but still have the home outfitted with all the modern amenities that make for a relaxing family getaway. The property is spacious and surrounded by woods, with an unbelievable view to the east. It feels secluded and special. In the winter it is warm and welcoming, in the summer it can be open and refreshing. We love this place, and hope you will too.
