Hi Andrea, I wanted to assure you that we did have a professional pest inspection done and they found no evidence of any bugs or insects inside the cabin. We appreciate you letting us know so we could inspect. Mosquitos and other biting insects are very bad outside with all the rain we have had. We apologize you experienced that. We would be happy to host you on a return trip. Please reach out if you would like to book.
We traveled to Hochatown for a quick spring break trip. The cabin was beautiful and it was at the end of the road so only could see two properties and that was through trees which was nice because the other cabins were right on the road and right next to others. This one felt more secluded. It was a perfect size for our group of six. Four adults and two young kids. The kids slept in the loft which was right at the top of the stairs. If your kids are younger I would suggest a baby gate. My husband and I rotated sleeping on the bottom trundle because we were concerned they would get up and be confused and tumble down the stairs. They are pretty steep.Cabin had everything you could need. Hot tub was great and the outdoor fireplace, tv and fire pit were all great. Hosts replied fast. Only minor issue was the ice maker was broken so we needed to buy ice. Hochatown had lots of fun things for kids to do. Was crazy busy but it was spring break so expected. Would recommend bringing groceries as there aren’t a lot of places to eat and especially not on Sunday. Lots of places closed. There were also water main break issues when we were there so water was out for a while.Overall a wonderful cabin. Management was great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
