About this property
Modern Cloudland Cabin, 1.5 miles of private trails through 10 acres of woodland
Newly finished in 2025, brand new and hand built 400 sq/ft cabin in the woods with two huge 6ft x 6ft windows looking out into the woods. This cabin is a labor of love - 90% of the wood used in the build was milled on site. The wood is as local as it gets, harvested from trees directly on the property. Located on 10 acres with several small ponds, you'll have direct access to 1.5 miles of private trails to hike or bike through a varied woodland terrain. Relax on the covered patio, or explore the area. Just 2 minutes to Cloudland Canyon State Park, 30 minutes to Chattanooga, 25 minutes to Rock City. In an effort to help unplug there is no Wifi, but there is a selection of DVDs, books, and games. Cell service is good and the cabin is accessed from a short (150ft) dirt driveway, and a 250 ft lighted walking trail from the parking area. Cabin amenities include an induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, and full size refrigerator as well as full size laundry. The cabin is private but you may be visited by our free ranging chickens, curious cat “Claire” or some of the many deer. Also, our family of 4 (two young children) live in the main house (250 ft away). Access and parking are separate.
I'm a true fan of the outdoors and am well-versed in local hiking and biking trail information. I offer free guided excursions when requested and subject to availability (BYO gear).
This unique get away is perfect for guests looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. Book now and enjoy everything this cabin has to offer!

Leon was very accommodating. The place looked exactly like the listing—the space was clean, had everything we needed, and check-in was easy. We really enjoyed our weekend away from the city!
Great host, very clean, very quiet and peaceful, close to things you need! Only complaint is the unexpected little trail to the cabin, not a bad walk though, 10/10 would stay again
Leon was super responsive and accommodating! The cabin was exactly as pictured. It's the perfect location for access to Cloudland Canyon. Highly recommend this cabin!
The cabin was a clean, serene idyllic hideaway. There's a short trail between the car park and the cabin and outside the big picture windows all I could see was trees, a creek and occasionally deer. So private and restful. There are many thoughtful touches from the wagon parked at the car to bring my stuff in, to the hidden appliances. The home was very clean, less than 2 miles from Cloudland Canyon State Park and even the art on the walls was welcoming. It's even better than the listing
The cabin is very clean and the kitchen has everything you will need. I especially appreciated the tips on local hiking. I strongly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to hike Cloudland Canyon. Just a heads up, you might find it hard to leave the cabin since it's incredibly relaxing and private. I would definitely stay there again.
Had a good stay where we could relax away from everything. Would come again. Had a good caving trip at Sutton's Cave nearby. No WiFi so it is a good place to get away from streas
Super clean, simple, yet well-designed cabin. Really is only 5 mins away from Cloudland Canyon's entrance. We'd definitely stay here again and would recommend.
Beautiful little spot that was just what we were looking for. We loved the decor and special art accents. The beautiful big windows were perfect for watching deer.
The cabin is real architectural gem - simple and well designed. Everything we needed was provided as bed we had a great stay! We did not miss having internet access or WiFi as we used our phones as a Personal hotspot. The Owner/agent lives nearby and was delightful to meet and discuss the cabin details. A wonderful retreat! We will be back!
Everything was as expected. Cabin is cozy and perfect for a couples weekend. Bountiful hiking trails nearby. Enjoyed Cloudland Canyon State Park (about 1 mile) down main highway. Sat outside every night and enjoyed the frog /locust concert for free.
The cabin we stayed at was perfect for two people. It was cozy and charming. It was clean and comfortable. Loved being surrounded by woods. It was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place and would rent it again. I thought the price was reasonable as well. I could actually live there year around and may have plans in the near future to retire to Georgia. The mountain are my go to place.
This experience was truly exceptional. The photos and description are accurate, yet the cabin and the property still exceeded my expectations. A lovely place, right around the corner from Cloudland Canyon and a short drive to other hiking areas. I would definitely return, and I've already recommended it to friends.
The tiny cabin is so well designed and constructed that it doesn't actually feel small at all. The layout works very well and accommodates a washer, dryer, and a deep closet that helps you keep your belongings out of the way. We saw lots of weather through the large windows. Even the dreariest day was illuminated by natural light reflected off the golden woods that surrounded us. We felt so lucky to have found such comfort in this welcoming space!
If you want to unwind and check out for a few days this is the place. Extremely clean safe peaceful Everything you need to be comfortable has been considered and accounted for. Upon our arrival we ran into a minor issue the host’s response was incredibly fast and he went above and beyond to help.
Clean and attractively decorated. Easy all around. Did not mind carrying our gear from the car. Handy access to Cloudland Canyon St Park. Only negative is the metal roof was very loud when it rained at night, and it rained every night.
This charming place in the woods is close to Cloudland canyon state parks with great hiking and views. We enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch in the evening. Had a tasty lunch at the Hope house close by and outstanding pizza at lookout mountain pizza. The kitchen was well-equipped, bed comfy and entire place was immaculate. Leon gave great instructions and recommendations for activities and meals
