Really nice cabin! Very clean, cozy, exactly as described. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location in proximity to Cloudlands Canyon, Little River National Perserve (Fort Payne) and Chattanooga! Cabin was clean, quaint and had a good view from the awesome deck. Our hosts were caring and attentive.
Sylvia and Neal were very accommodating and the place was absolutely perfect. Beautiful setting, tons of wildlife and privacy. We will definitely be back!!!
This little cabin was perfect for our short weekend getaway. My husband and I enjoyed the view and the cabin, the fall colors were beautiful. The owners little welcome touches were appreciated.
Thanks for a great stay!
I often take a three day break from work related stresses to
have quiet time of reading, walking, and praying. This cottage was perfect for my needs. Very clean, very comfortable, and great hospitality of the hosts. The views from the deck are wonderful and plenty of places to walk.
Very quiet, and relaxing. Not close to anything big, but not to far a drive to larger towns and Chattanooga. Very nice welcoming gift and first day supplies.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place for a short getaway and Cabin on the Hill was absolutely perfect! The cabin is so lovely, and the only sounds we heard were birds, frogs, and the sound of rushing water from a nearby creek. The view is beautiful and will be even more so in the fall. The owners left us a special gift to set the tone of our weekend and it was so appreciated! We will definitely be back!
This experience was amazing! The host was super, the view was fantastic and we loved spotting the rabbits that hang out right outside the door. If you are reading this, follow the host’s driving instructions to a T and do not exit to the right when leaving (past the mailboxes). 5 stars!!!!
"As advertised" and then some.
Owners communicated very clearly and quickly when I had a question. I felt welcomed by them.
The cabin and the setting are beautiful. Cabin is clean and well-organized, with just the right things available (plates, glasses, etc.)
Highly recommended, and I'd like to return sometime.
There are other cabins and such nearby - this is like a gated community for retreaters. But it was very quiet - and this one is farthest up the hill, in its spot w/unique vantage point.
Again, highly recommended.
My wife and I are in our 70's and were at first worried as we drove through the woods on a winding narrow road to the cabin on the hill. Once we arrived we were happy with the view of the mountain and the lake below.
I unloaded our belongings and realized there was not an electrical outlet on both sides of the bed. So we drove to Tiftonia TN to the Walmart to buy a heavy duty extension cord to power our CPAPs. We had tried buying one in Trenton GA, but on Sunday no place was open who had one. While we were out we grabbed a bite to eat. Problem solved.
We really enjoyed our views and seeing turkey, birds, squirrel and ground hogs around the cabins. We got used to the winding road to and from the cabin on our excursions in the area to visit Family including a time at the local 4th of July festival in Trenton with my Daughter, Son in Law and especially Granddaughter.
The coffee, drinks, etc. left for us were great. The welcome card and gifts at the cabin were especially appreciated.
We enjoyed our stay!!
Everything was wonderful. The host was very responsive. It was nice that there was a lot of small basic needs. The card and chocolates was a special touch.
Cozy cabin. Loved it, other than the 3 mile gravel road to go eat or to go to cloudland canyon. Otherwise it was so quiet and pretty secluded. We would definitely consider coming back!
This was our 2nd stay at this lovely cabin and it won't be our last! It's the perfect place for a peaceful and quiet get-away. The owners are extremely attentive and their attention to detail makes for an enjoyable stay.
We loved this property! It was conveniently located for a wedding at Oakleaf Cottage but far enough off the path to feel private and secluded. Probably one of the cleanest rental properties I’ve ever been to. Beautiful deck overlooking a pond - it will not disappoint if you’re looking for a cool fall getaway!
We enjoyed seeing the deer and the mountains. The host made sure we had everything we needed and good directions on how to find it. That paid off because we arrived at night and we had good cell phone reception to assist.
We really enjoyed our stay was the perfect getaway digist. Enjoy the peaceful surrounding of the what's around us. It's the perfect little cabin in the woods.
My husband and I had a quick weekend trip to the cabin in Red Fawn. The back deck of the cabin had a beautiful view of the cliffs across the valley. There was also a small lake thst we couldn't go down to due to the weather but it made it peaceful. It was also close to cloudland canyon which was perfect. It was just what we needed for a weekend getaway.
