Escape to this charming, rustic cabin in picturesque Heron. With a king bed, twin bed and half bath in the loft, and bunk bed in the downstairs bedroom, guests will feel right at home. Enjoy the convenience of downstairs bathroom with shower, towels and local hand made soap. Plus, there's an additional office space with a comfy queen murphy bed for extra flexibility. A fantastic retreat for families or friends looking to unwind and make lasting memories. We are a working homestead. Milk a cow, give a pig a belly rub or collect some fresh farm eggs. Wander in the garden, get your hands dirty! Hike in the adjacent national forest or fish in the nearby Clark Fork River. Sit on the back devotion and relax under the stars. A great place to unwind and call homebase while you're away, we hope you enjoy your stay. We are very rural, with the small local store open until 7pm. Larger shopping is 45 min away in Sandpoint, Id. Cell phone is spotty in area, but wifi at the cabin is great.

Wow wow wow! What an amazing stay! This was a truly unique experience for our young family. The hosts live on site in another home, but were so gracious and generous with their time and their property. The kids petted animals and picked strawberries. The parents enjoyed the cool weather and quiet remote location. The house was better stocked than any we have ever stayed in, which was both thoughtful and helpful as you might not find the nearby store open after 7pm. Never fear, the cabinets were filled with all the essentials and then some. But this stay truly came down to the people. They are just friendly kind folks who value animals and the land they raise them on. They were happy to chat or to give us space as we needed. The absolute star of the show was Runty, the friendly pig, who wanders the farm always available for a scratch or a snack. We will not soon forget our stay here and hope we can go back again!
