Relax and recharge in the inviting living room, complete with a plush sofa, two cozy recliners, TV, and high-speed internet—ideal for movie nights, streaming your favorite shows, or simply unwinding after a full day of exploring.
Throughout the cabin, you’ll enjoy year-round comfort with both air conditioning and heat. For those quiet evenings in, take advantage of the selection of books, reading materials, DVD movies, games, and puzzles—everything you need for a warm, cozy night indoors.
Step outside to the spacious patio—perfect for gathering and enjoying the outdoors. It features a dining table with chairs for meals, a BBQ gas grill with grilling utensils for cookouts, and a convenient fish cleaning station for the day’s fresh catch.
Well-behaved dogs (no cats allowed) are welcome for a small additional fee. For your convenience, the backyard is fully fenced—giving your pup a safe space to stretch and play. We’ve also provided a waste bag dispenser to make your pet's clean-up quick and easy during your stay.
Nestled along Montana Highway 200, Knute’s Kozy Kabin is conveniently located just 14 miles from Trout Creek and less than a mile from the Noxon Bridge. From the patio, take in stunning views of the Clark Fork River as it winds toward the breathtaking Cabinet Gorge—an unforgettable Montana backdrop in every season.
Experience the best of Montana’s year-round recreation, including fishing, boating, snowmobiling, hiking, skiing, ice fishing, and hunting—all just minutes away.
Knute’s Kozy Kabin is ideally situated just minutes from the beautiful Clark Fork River and Noxon Reservoir—making it a perfect home base for outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoy a short walk to cast a line in the river, or take a quick drive into the town of Noxon for essentials at the local hardware store. Pioneer Park in Noxon is a wonderful spot for kids, family gatherings, or a relaxing picnic. Several nearby boat launch sites make it easy to get out on the water.
If sightseeing is on your agenda, you’re just a scenic drive away from multiple state and national parks. Or simply head out on one of the many mountain roads and see where the adventure takes you—Montana beauty awaits around every bend.
Fishing, Boating & Big Sky Adventure Await
Fishing in Montana is truly a dream come true. The Noxon Reservoir area is a premier destination for anglers and even hosts bass tournaments throughout the season. Known for Northern Pike, Trout, Walleye, Sunfish, and Perch, this expansive 6,100-acre lake is also perfect for boating, swimming, family fun, and jet skiing.
Across the state, you can wade into crystal-clear lakes or cast into pebble-bottom trout streams surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Legendary spots like Paradise Valley and Flathead Lake are just two of the many prized fishing locations in Big Sky Country. While you wait for that trophy catch, take in the cascading mountains and watch for Montana’s incredible wildlife.
Hunters will find Montana equally rewarding. Pursue species such as black bear, mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn antelope, Rocky Mountain elk, Shiras moose, mountain goat, mountain lion, bighorn sheep, turkey, wolf, and bison. The state also offers outstanding upland bird and waterfowl hunting opportunities.

Cabinet Gorge & Trout Creek Area
Cabinet Gorge Reservoir is a scenic 3,000-acre stretch of water along the lower Clark Fork River, extending from the Idaho border to the town of Noxon. Framed by the rugged Cabinet Mountains, it offers exceptional fishing for Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, and Largemouth Bass. Four public boat launches provide convenient access for anglers and boaters alike.
A short drive away, Trout Creek—known as the huckleberry capital of Montana—sits near the stunning Cabinet Mountains Wilderness. The area offers camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing, along with scenic attractions like Vermilion Falls and Graves Creek Falls.
