My husband, 16 year old children, and I stayed here for our family vacation and our 25th wedding anniversary. The cabin was perfect for us. The neighborhood was quiet, and the cabin was a short drive from the park. The host was very kind and accommodating. She made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties, and this one had no unnecessary rules and regulations (like some others), which helped us to actually feel like we were really on a vacation. The cabin was immaculately clean, and contained everything a family might need. We felt very at home there. There are several restaurants and a grocery store very nearby. We would stay here again.

About the host
Your host
My great grandfather was the first photographer in Glacier National Park in the 1930s. He and my great grandmother build a small cabin in West Glacier in 1968. Their cabin, now owned by my grandparents, has been occupied by hundreds of family members and guests for over 50 years. Generations of my family have lived in and visited the Flathead Valley now. It is an amazing and beautiful place that everyone should get to experience at some point in their lifetime.
Why they chose this property
We chose to own a home in Hungry Horse because we fell in love with the quiet community. A bit closer to town than West Glacier and has an amazing local culture.
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because of the location. You are close to Whitefish, Kalispell, and Glacier National Park. Whitefish Ski Resort, Hungry Horse Dam, the Flathead River, and tons of hiking, biking, and rafting adventures are nearby. The local community and culture in Hungry Horse is a great place to avoid some of the tourist traffic and engage in local culture.
