Nice clean place to stay close to Glacier, the hosts were really great to work with and share their knowledge of the area. The Huckleberry Patch has good reasonably priced food just a few minutes away, and the Huckleberry ice cream is delicious!
A really nice and clean place to stay near Glacier park. Host family is really friendly and will go out of their way to help you. We really enjoyed our stay.
A beautiful spot, w trees and wildflowers and where you stay looks like a Swiss chalet.
It worked well for us but we were there very little, as we came to visit Glacier National. The property manager was extremely nice and very friendly and helpful w info about Glacier National and gave us good tips on what to see
Everything was as advertised, all was clean, close to Glacier, very economical and Karen was very nice n friendly. Gave us suggested Glacier adventures, one we took her up on. Hidden Lake Overlook trail was perfect for us. We had a great 2 nite stay, will come back again.
This is a wonderful property, and we had a wonderful stay. Karen is a wonderful person and very knowledgeable about the area. Don’t trust GPS to find the property, use the directions that Karen will give you. The local store is well equipped with anything you need. I highly recommend this property, and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Kate for everything.
I stayed at Karen's place a couple years ago and was so pleased that it was available for a return visit with my sister. Karen is a warm person and a terrific host—she really helped us navigate the Going to the Sun road travel changes through very clear communication prior to our visit.
On arrival, Karen welcomed us and helped us decide how to best spend our only day in Glacier—which was a huge help.
The apartment was exactly what we needed. Hope to come visit a third time!
Communication with Karen was easy and she was quick to respond. A couple days before our trip Karen sent us detailed instructions on how to get there and offered the option to rent bear spray. Upon arriving she went over things we needed to know about the rental and shared her experiences with the trails we were planning to hit. The cabin itself was warm and cozy. It is a little dated but everything you need is there. Convenient location to the park and across the street from the huckleberry patch.
Wonderful host family, great convenient location to Glacier National Park, Hungry Horse is a great little town, kitchen in unit was equipment with all needed eating and cooking items, porch was a nice place to relax, bed slept very well, bathroom was large and shower was great, relaxing chairs in living room felt like home, and a quiet relaxing wonderful Montana retreat. I told them I would stay there again, if I did not live in Pennsylvania. Too far of a drive.
Rustic but it had everything we needed. It was quiet and out of the main stream. The owner couldn’t have been nicer or easier to work with. She got back to you immediately if you had a question. My husband’s comment was “it had the most comfortable recliner he has ever sat in”!
Karen was kind and informative. Place was exactly what we needed for a few days in the park. This upstairs apartment, connected to the main house, was very clean. Neighborhood was questionable, but 20 min from West side gate.
The neighborhood itself felt a little sketchy at first, but the property is tucked away enough that once you’re inside, you feel removed from that. There is another VRBO on the property and a door in the bedroom that stays locked with another locked door on the other side. All was well, just didn’t expect that. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Karen is a wonderful host—attentive, friendly, and really takes care of you while you’re there. If you’re okay with the surroundings, this is a cozy spot and close to the park with a host who truly goes above and beyond.
Karen was a very kind host. I enjoyed having a quiet place to stay away from the crowds of the National Park but still close enough to easily enter before the 7:00 am timed entry. The airbnb was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
This was an incredible place to stay just outside Glacier National Park. Karen is an amazing host and we had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the rustic cabin feel with modern amenities. Highly recommend!
We were very pleased with our stay. We strongly recommend it for couples visiting West Glacier GNP. Located in Hungry Horse, you are 10 minutes from the West entrance of GNP. This will be crucial to anyone who wants to get in before 6am.
The accommodations were clean, comfortable and quiet and accurately reflected in the pictures. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen with coffee maker, fridge, and dining and sitting area. Stay here and just experience some of the dining at Lake McDonald Lodge; you won’t regret it!
The owner Karen was friendly, helpful and great with her communication before our trip. Was able to make use of a cooler and she rented Bear spray. Besides being close to West Glacier, it is also near restaurants and supermarket. Strongly recommend this vacation rental. Thank you Karen.
Karen was a terrific host from the very beginning. She greeted us as soon as we arrived and walked us through the property. Her accomodations were close to the National Park entrance which made it convenient. We loved experiencing the area for 3 days.
We had a fantastic time! Karen was very friendly and helpful during our stay. She gave us great hiking recommendations. The place was very clean and conveniently located between Glacier National Park and Whitefish. We’d absolutely come back.
