Sun Peaks retreat

Wonderful!!!! Perfect place to stay while enjoying the scene that is Sun Peaks. Ski in, ski out onto the last slope of "The Gentle Giant" a perfect way to warm up for a great day. I was delayed, arriving at 01:00, but the hotel was very accommodating and was ready and waiting to make the booking in process as quick as possible. My room was warm, clean and had a great view. I spent 7 nights there and could easily have spent more. I really recommend staying here.

Ok, nothing exciting about hotel

Room was ok. Back room, lower level, fairly dark room. Came here 17 years ago, nothing's changed. Could do with new furniture? Comfortable though.

Our sat nav took us the long way and we arrived quite late. The night manager was very helpful. it was off season so the lodge didn't have many guests. The rooms were spacious and we had security parking. Sun Peaks is a ski resort and the quality of the lodges is very high. The cost was below our other stays on this holiday. We chose this location because our destination was Jasper. Sun Peaks was about halfway.

Everything we needed.

Stayed at Nancy Greene's Cahilty Lodge in September which is the quiet season. Sun Peaks was certainly quiet. Check in was smooth and very helpful. The lodge itself has a lot of character and all the facilities you would expect. The room was a good size and well presented. We ate at the restaurant and the food and service were good. All in all, given the time of year, it was exactly what we expected. Worth a look if you are planning a stay at Sun Peaks in the Winter.
