Palapa Room – Rustic Ranch House
The Palapa Room is a simple, open-air room located within our Rustic Ranch House, part of The Baja Station, a relaxed, beachfront, off-grid space created for travelers who enjoy fresh air, nature, and a calm, grounded atmosphere.
Set just steps from the ocean, this room offers a unique way to experience coastal living, with natural airflow and the sounds of the sea as part of your stay.
The space
- Palapa-style bedroom with a queen size bed
- Desk + wardrobe in the room
- Naturally ventilated and shaded
- Calm, quiet atmosphere with a small number of guests
- Shared bathrooms and showers, cleaned regularly
- Access to shared indoor and outdoor common areas
- Shaded areas to relax, read, or work
- Close to the ocean, with easy access to the beach and surf
- Starlink Wi-Fi available
- Communal kitchen & dining area: A large 12-seat table with a fully equiped kitchen (gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, and all essential cooking tools).
- Outdoor lounge with BBQ: Relax in our shared outdoor lounge areas, perfect for unwinding, reading, or spending time together.
The Palapa Room is best suited for travelers who enjoy fresh air, natural sounds, and a more open experience while still having access to comfort and shared amenities.
Access for guests:You will have access to your bedroom area and all common spaces including: kitchen/diner, outdoor lounge, indoor palapa lounge, storage, WC and showers.
Guests are also welcome to use The Baja Station Café, located on our main site (one minute walk), where you can enjoy breakfast, drinks, hammocks, and additional toilets and showers and where you can book oceanrelated activities or rentals.
Note: We run entirely on solar power and rely on water deliveries, so we encourage guests to be mindful of energy and water use. While we have backup systems like generators and always aim to keep things running smoothly, life off the grid can have its quirks, especially on cloudy days. If you’re a digital nomad or need guaranteed connectivity for a critical call, just give us a heads-up so we can ensure you’re covered. We’re here to help make your stay as seamless as possible!
