About this property
Newly furnished, large, bright, beach house in the heart of it all!
Welcome to the first town in the first state! Nearby Features: * Several fabulous beaches for fun and relaxation * Pool * Outlet shopping (no sales tax) * Golf * Boardwalk with shops * Direct ferry from Lewes to quaint and historic Cape May, New Jersey * Casinos * Winery tours * Water park * Multiple dining options My home is an absolute one-of-a-kind 3,400 square foot meticulously maintained beach house, located in a very desirable location in historic Lewes, Delaware. In less than a three hour drive from Washington, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and NJ, you'll be relaxing in comfort and ready for a dip in our pool or a walk on the nearby beach. Let me begin with the area, aside from the incredible boardwalk and beaches, there is something for everyone! Located just a half mile away from our home is the best winery in Delaware – Nassau Valley Vineyards. Complete with gorgeous views, a historic museum, and very reasonably priced tastings! Just a mile away is downtown Lewes, complete with marinas, fine dining, bakeries, cafes, ice cream, and of course the beach. Take a day trip into CapeMay, N.J. on the ferry that leaves from Lewes. It's a lovely boat ride and once you arrive, you'll enjoy the history, shops, and just strolling down quaint streets lined with the Victorian mansions of Cape-May! Cape Henlopen State Park a 10 minute drive, offers beaches, biking, hiking, hourly boat/kayak rentals, the Sea Side Nature Center, and of course the historic World War II observation towers. Not a good day to be outside? No worries – beginning just a mile down route 1 begins the endless stretch of outlets. From the basics to the very high end, all of your shopping needs can be met, and best of all, it's tax free!! For you children and teens, there is a water park, go-kart track, and miniature golf. Five miles away you will find exciting Rehoboth Beach offering endless dining experiences, boutiques, as well as a beach boardwalk with plenty of goodies for you and the kids. As if that isn’t enough, there's fabulous golfing, light houses, casinos, live music venues, and more. Although you may be exhausted after beaching it during the day and enjoying the area’s night life, you will completely recharge at my quiet, comfortable, well decorated home. Located away from the main road and at the end of a dead-end cul-de-sac, you will sleep well in complete silence. From the living room, there is plenty of well manicured grass to play on, and you can enjoy your morning coffee on the back deck. My beach home is newer construction with new appliances, flooring, new furnishings, including an open kitchen, great room, 3 and one half baths, loft overlooking the living room, and finished basement with kitchenette complete with a game table. With 3,400 square feet, you will not find another property this size in this price range. There are 3 bedrooms – the master suite includes a king-size bed with private bathroom including a full tub, separate shower, and his-and-her sinks. The 2 other bedrooms are up-stairs, large and bright, and share a bathroom with his-and-her sinks. All bedrooms have loads of closet space and ceiling fans. Downstairs you will find a finished basement which includes another full bath, wet bar, and living area complete with a queen size bed and pull out sofa and futon. This large area makes a terrific play area and can serve as an extra bedroom with space to spare. Speaking of play, the upstairs loft has an additional wall mounted flat screen TV and the basement has a Foosball table. If you don’t feel like heading to the beach, simply walk down to the community pool – a pool pass will be included for you at no extra charge. The property is also perfect for a winter get-a-away, forget the furnace and heat the whole house by the gas fire-place with just the flick of a switch. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you'll need to cook or prepare meals including dishes, pots, pans, and a gas stove. Pack lightly, as my home has a brand new washer and dryer. Discounts offered for payment by check! I am experienced at renting and ensure professional cleanings. My home is only 2.5 hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and D.C. I assure you that the rental process will handled promptly, smoothly, and with attention to detail. I look forward to sharing my home with you!

Experienced at renting properties. Professional and timely. I live full time only two hours away in downtown Washington, D.C.
Why they chose this property
I have been coming to Lewes frequently for over 14 years now and finally purchased this property because I love the area so much. I have traveled extensively and have never found an area quite like it. It has all of the beauty that nature can offer from the large beaches to the state parks or simply the woods behind my house. At the same time, the area has all of the conveniences of home whether you need to run to the bank or grocery store. Few places can you find such unique bars, restaurants, and boutique shops while also enjoying large-scale tax free outlet shopping. Each trip I take here is different - sometimes I never leave the house and have mimosas on the deck until walking to the pool. Other times I'm out all night letting loose and still other times I spend the entire weekend out-doors enjoying the beaches, trails, and local history. The area is extremely kid friendly with board-walk arcades, candy, bumper cars, water parks, go-carts, and more all within 5 miles. There is truly something for everyone here!
