This was the perfect spot for me and my daughter. The bed was comfy, the washer and dryer were so nice to have in the apt. Emily was very kind and responded quickly to any message, I really appreciated her hospitality. The price was great, and I would absolutely stay here again!! Also, she started the ice machine for us before we even got there and as someone obsessed with ice, that was an immediate 5 stars!!

The space was very nice, clean and a quiet neighborhood. The shopping was great along with eatery. The bed could be better due to a bad back issue, other than it was 4 plus stars.

Beautiful weekend

Very nice place with everything you need for a lil getaway. The host was there if you needed anything and answered any questions you had or needed very quickly. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area for a stay!

35th anniversary in Chattanooga

Good place as a base to see the city and surrounding areas. The yard is peaceful. Nice and quiet at night. Very clean and neat. The hostess was very accommodating with excellent communication the entire process.

Perfect for a quiet, productive weekend

This guest suite was centrally located in Hixson in a nice neighborhood. I’m a woman traveling alone for the weekend to go to real estate open houses to check out different neighborhoods in Chattanooga for a summertime move. I wasn’t in the suite much in the day. But I stopped back in here and there, which the location made it easy to do. Traveling alone, I personally appreciated the secure feeling of the subtle family/house noises upstairs (this guest suite is in the finished basement of their home). I loved hearing the occasional tippy tap of dog feet. I had an amazing night of sleep both nights in the bed—it’s comfy.There’s a nice little patio with two chairs.It was extremely clean—I could not possibly make one comment about cleanliness. My only “negative” is that the shower is very small, but you can see that in the listing photos. It’s manageable.

The property was clean, but I did notice some dead bugs in the corner of the bar area. The path to the entrance was odd because you have to walk past the homeowners front door area and the path was not very clear. Inside, I felt unsafe because the basement stairs that lead into the hosts house had a door into their home and it was not able to be locked from our side, but they could lock it from their side. Their house rules are that quiet time starts at 9:00 pm which made it difficult to enjoy vacation nights. We constantly heard footsteps and conversation coming from upstairs. The most disappointing part of our stay was when Emily sent a message to me through VRBO and stated that she ran down to replace the drain cover in the shower. According to the rules, she was not supposed to enter the space unless there was an emergency. Replacing a drain cover is not an emergency. It felt like she was invading our privacy and made me uncomfortable worrying that she or her family could come in at any time. That just did not sit right with me. I would never return even though the price was good and the location wasn’t bad.

Oh Devin! I’m so sorry you felt uncomfortable in the shared space that was described to you before your arrival. The door to the guest accommodations is locked from our side to prevent any guests from just opening and entering our UNSHARED space without permission; most times we hear people trying to rattle the knob and I’m sure you could imagine how that may make you feel if you were in your home.We do note that if we do have to enter during your stay we advise you ahead of time and we do our best to get in and out quickly (I messaged you to let you know it was forgotten when the unit was cleaned and I was down and back up within a minute). I hate that you didn’t read or look into the space before your arrival to know how to access the guest’s private entrance. The quiet hours are to deter from parties or loud gatherings since we do not allow them in the guest suite. Booking a shared home or space means others will be there, ie the family so yes, unfortunately there may be some footsteps heard or voices here and there but we do try to keep it as quiet as we can in our home when we have guests that do not venture out as much as the typical tourist that comes to Chattanooga. We hate that you didn’t enjoy your visit and hope that you have success in other properties that you may visit; hopefully they won’t be shared spaces or you take the time to read and review the details before booking.
