We stayed here previously a few years ago so we knew what to expect. We like the fact that there's no neighbors near us and a very quiet neighborhood. One thing we would suggest is provide more cooking pans and microwavable bowls, etc. Other than that, we have no complaints.
Yes . If you're not into The Bohemian style it might not be your cup of tea. I found it excuisit and the decor was adorable. Very happy and wished I had more than a partial day.

Thanks so much, Adam! We are anxiously waiting for the rural broadband internet expansion project that is currently bringing broadband/fiber internet to our place in the country : ) What we have now is satellite, and the best of only 2 current options. We will ice that cake the minute it's available : ) Take care and safe travels!

great location, love the property
Stayed at this property on a tubing trip with a few friends for my husbands birthday. The place was perfect, accommodations were clean, convenient to tubing and about 25 minutes to downtown ocala. The firepit and grill were convenient to have also. Great getaway from the city. Would stay here again.

The place had a funky smell ac did not work properly one of the beds smelt urine you can tell that they allow dogs because of the smell. When we arrived, there was baby diaper and cans in the fire pit. The one thing that was nice was the outside shower.

Richard, thanks so much for your great review - so glad you enjoyed our place. I know exactly which spiders you are talking about, lol! Those are Florida banana spiders, shocking to look at but not harmful to humans.
When we walked in the home it smelled clean and amazing! The entire place was clean and they had everything we needed! We were very comfortable while there and it was very kid friendly! Thank you!

There was a noticeable smell of stale cigarette smoke inside the trailer, thankfully it wasn't too overwhelming. We noticed some old lunch meat in the fridge, making us wonder how well they had cleaned the place. Very oddly there weren't sheets on the beds, but there was an entire dresser full of sheets that we put on the beds ourselves. Also we arrived around 1:30am after driving in and the sprinklers were blasting directly onto the lock box and the front porch, not exactly the welcome we were looking for. But, it was pet friendly and affordable, so all in all it was Ok for us.

Hi Susan. I apologize for the misses during your stay. We strive for perfection but sometimes factors beyond our control prevent that. I suffered a near fatal asthma attack on 12/11 and spent 8 days in a coma. My daughter who knows very little about moms Airbnb was juggling an overwhelming load. Aa bad things tend to come at the least convenient time my Cleaners 14 yr old nephew was
In a bad accident and comatose in critical condition at the same time. It sounds like she left before the linens dried and intended to come back to make the beds as she sometimes does but didn’t make it. The cigarette odor. I can’t explain as it is a nonsmoking home and none of us smoke. I always appreciate and ask guests to Reach out to us and let us correct an issue instead of posting it in a poor
Review. We’re not a corporation with a crew of staff, just regular families trying to make vacation affordable by doing the work ourselves. A normal day can turn into chaos for any of us at any time - it’s part of being human. Thank you again for being our guest.
Property owner very communicative and eager to please. Quiet property just off the beaten path. Shockingly excellent water quality. People and pets highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a place that takes you back to simpler times, this is it! Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of city life, we could hear the bugs chirping at night and see every star in the sky—just like a visit to Grandma's house. This country girl felt right at home, surrounded by all the rustic charm I remember from childhood. The peace and quiet were exactly what we needed, offering a perfect escape to recharge. While the house has that lived-in, homey feel, it’s the privacy and serenity that truly steal the show. If you’re after a tucked-away retreat, this place is for you.

I’m not sure why this place is allowed to still be listed
All my interactions with the host were extremely pleasant however on arrival it was clear it was going to be impossible for us to stay.
The outside of the home was covered in mold even the doorway. Inside this mold had crept

There is zero mold on our property, inside or outside. You/re apparently unfamiliar with the airborne algae that tinges vinyl siding in rural, wooded areas, and is harmless. I pressure wash seasonally to keep it at bay. You should at least be accurate if you intend to trash a host's place with a 1 star rating . . .

Nice fire pit. Plenty of outdoor chairs. Plenty of clean towels. TV/or DVD players were missing cords or non operational. Internet was sketchy and security system consisted of outside cameras that were non accessible. Nice size fridge.
We had a group scuba diving rainbow river and devils den. This was a very affordable and close option. The futon was honestly the only downside. Both beds were memory foam and comfortable. We decided to sleep on the couch instead of the futon and it was fine. The Keurig worked so i was happy. You can tell they are trying to fix up the place and make improvements. The owner was very prompt to communicate and it's exactly like the pictures. We enjoyed our stay and loved the diving. Would recommend.

The smell from the toilet (chemicals from the septic) was very strong. It irritated my body and it was hard to breath for me.
Great place...just as advertised.. Would definitely stay there again. It was in the middle of everything which was nice. there are a few items that would make it even better.. I would suggest that you invest in a TV antenna (from Walmart or Amazon) so your guests can at least watch local channels. We're not movie people and if someone that's staying there doesn't have a netflix or hulu account, it doesn't do much good. Also, you might want to get some new cookware (the teflon coverage is flaking off when you use it) and maybe a small pyrex casserole dish for the microwave. Other than that, having the washer/dryer there was awesome and you had plenty of towels and bedding.. Thank you for a great vacation!

Dad's 80th
We loved it! So AFFORDABLE...AND ... It had the 3 "C"s....Clean, Comfortable, Convenient! We were in the area visiting for our fathers 80th birthday. It was perfect. Spacious enough for 6 adults to sleep and eat comfortably. We had family from the area over and entertained outside around the fire pit and on the deck. This place is furnished with almost everything....including privacy. It's also just a few miles away from shopping, dining, and more. It will be our new home away from home whenever we come back to the area. We have stayed at several places in the area and this tops them all. Beats a hotel everytime! Thanks for sharing it with us. We will be back!

Unkept
Property was over grown and house was dirty. Pots and pans were peeling and rusted. Owner acted as if we were some spoiled children when I told her we had to clean and found a dirty wash rag hanging on the shower Rod. The stairs were unsafe and sinking into the ground. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Tim, your only communication was the night before checkout - you requested a discount based on vague complaints about our cleaner's work upon your arrival 2 days before. At $79/88 nightly for a 3 bedroom property, there is no room for discounts for minor complaints like yours - you used the property then decided you wanted to pay less for it, while threatening to complain. These are your words. "While the place is quaint it is by far not worth the amount we paid and disappointing. I hope you understand I’m not being difficult I’m just disappointed and hope that you get back to me before I review your property and lodge a complaint with vrbo corporate."
About the host
Hosted by Cyndi Hamad
My mother, always a country girl at heart, purchased this unspoiled wooded acreage just before she passed away in 1995. It was a long range plan, but as 2016 closed, I completed the labor of love of turning my Mom's Florida woodlands into a lovely, relaxing, country vacation home. The like new 3 bedroom residence is nestled amongst pine and oak trees, is close to Rainbow Springs, the headsprings of the Rainbow River, the Nature Coast and it's manatees, Ocala's horse country, Daytona Beach and Disney's magical theme parks - yet it feels miles away from everything . . . ! Mom would be proud <3
