Had we been notified, we would have addressed the issue immediately. We always encourage guests to contact us right away so we can resolve any concerns promptly.
Worst service ever. We never managed to get the access key upon our arrival.We communicated with the renter multiple times.We ended up renting an hotel thru Expedia as indicated by VRBO costumer care.Plus the address does not match the actual locationI do not recommend this apartment.

We regret that you chose alternative accommodation despite the guidance provided, but we did communicate consistently and made every effort to support your arrival.
Beware! Dirty congested surroundings with no access to the key location
Address mentioned in email : 154 E 105th StAddress came in the vrbo message : 301 E 108th StInstruction given to self-checkin : apartment key in a lockbox attached to a metal bicycle rack lockbox The address listed in the website is different from the message from host. Host asked us not to contact leasing office or open the door or talk to anyone if anyone asks in message . Looks like listed the property against the rules !The lockbox mentioned in the pic was different from actual The lockbox was unaccessible due to locked bicycles and locked carts.We couldn’t access the keybox and the neighborhood was full of smokers n drunk people !We had to leave the place after multiple attempts in accessing the lockbox and failing to get connected with the host The host is not willing to refund the amount including a cleaning fee which we never used !NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE!

We must also point out that publicly posting full property addresses in a review is a violation of guest and host privacy and goes against platform guidelines. This important privacy issue was completely disregarded in your review.
The lockbox location and access method were accurately described, and the setup shown in photos matches the instructions provided.
The instruction not to engage with third parties or the leasing office is standard practice in many residential buildings to respect building rules and resident privacy—it does not indicate any wrongdoing.
Unfortunately, you chose to leave before completing check-in, despite guidance and assistance being provided. As the apartment was fully prepared and reserved exclusively for your stay, including professional cleaning completed prior to arrival, a refund (including the cleaning fee) is not applicable.
We regret that this experience did not meet your expectations, but we strongly disagree with the characterization of the listing and the events described.
