About the host
Hosted by Mia Strudwick or Nick Vyse
Le Foulon is owned and managed by myself Nick Vyse and my partner Mia Strudwick. We've been here since 2004 when we turned our back on desk jobs in London and followed our dream..
Born in Wales Mia was brought up in various places throughout the UK, Norway and Iran. She has worked in travel all her life, from tour operators creating package holidays all around the World, to a TV based travel agent. She was responsible for each product and subsequently travelled a lot and saw more hotels and villas than you could wave a contract at.
I was born and raised in the South of England and after a brief time in France in my early 20's returned to London and a career in Advertising and Design. Our agency specialised in all things travel and we represented tour operators (guess where I met Mia), small airlines and travel agents. Having spent one lifetime trying to sell other peoples' vacations we wanted to pool our collective knowledge and create our idea of the perfect holiday.
We simply believe the devil is in the detail, personal service is key, and as the saying goes it's all about location, location, location. Once fate had put Le Foulon in front of us it took a year of blood, sweat and tears to get it ready for our first customers, and we've never looked back.
But we are constantly improving Le Foulon and her grounds, inspired through experience and from customer feedback, our return clients are always treated to a few changes that make their stay even better than the last.

Why they chose this property
Location, location, location! And atmosphere - some buildings speak to you, and Le Foulon had us fully enchanted from the moment we walked through the door.
Plus, with the madness of the Cote d'Azur just 30 minutes drive south we found it quite amazing that there was such an idyllic and peaceful location just a stones throw away. You look across the valley of the wolf from our fully glazed dining room and you can barely see a sign of human habitation, and yet our village is only 5 minutes away, has a selection of restaurants and the French Riviera is easily explored from here.
It's quite a special place in a rather special part of the World.

What makes this property unique
Space for all - with 13 bedrooms (4 with an extra double sofabeds) and 11 bathrooms (10 en suite), plus large and varied communal spaces, Le Foulon will keep all the family happy. Kids can play in the garden, or the dedicated play room in the house, adults can socialise in the bar and lounge, or hide away with a book in the conservatory or adjoining library. And that's before you explore the 14 acres and find your very own little part of Provence.
There are very few properties sleeping up to 34 people that can truly cater for this number of people - Le Foulon is one of them. Add in the benefits of a good value catering option and a shopping service, delivering restaurant quality food and drink ready and waiting for you on arrival, and you have quite a unique proposition.
