Private lakefront cottage on Lake Champlain, feet from Causeway bike path.
Private year-round cottage on Lake Champlain (Mallets Bay), a 10:00 drive to downtown Burlington and area colleges. You will be treated to glorious panoramic lake views, with an open-floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill - Cabana bar and beach fire pit. The world-class Colchester Causeway bike path is just minutes outside our door. Sleeps 4-6 with a queen-size bed in the upstairs open-loft, a full-size bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Relaxation is pretty much guaranteed. Great fishing just steps out our door. Enjoy all four seasons that Vermont has to offer! We are pet friendly (one dog only, no cats). The cottage is located in a quiet community that we treasure. Because of this, we limit the number of guest that stay, and require that all of the Mills Point Association Rules are followed, including leashed dogs, parking regulations and no loud parties.

Great area, tons of activities for the whole family. Fishing right out in the back yard on the lake. Burlington is 15 minute drive, ECHO center is great for kids and bike/walking path right outside along the lake. This house has everything we needed and more.
My friend and I stayed at this property while teaching a class in the area. We really appreciated our daily return to this restful and restorative spot. Great views of the bay with plenty of bird activity for entertainment. Thank you for this wonderful spot. We did have lots of rain which kept us indoors so appreciated all the cozy blankets and wraps provided.
Excellent location and very serene and peaceful on Lake Champlain. Awesome biking, kayaking and unbelievable views and sunset. My only complaint would be very cheap on the amenities. Had to go out midweek and buy toilet paper out of pocket.
We planned to stay here with extended family for our daughter's UVM graduation but thanks to unexpected circumstances it was only three of us. It was frigid and rainy the entire weekend, but we still enjoyed the views and a very comfortable home where anything we could think of was provided. We hope to return someday when we can take advantage of the amazing location on the lake and next to the bike path.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet the cottage offered over the Thanksgiving holiday. The views, the fire pit, the star-filled night sky, the quick walk to the Causeway — all exactly what we hoped for in a getaway.
A terrific place for rest and relaxation! Community was friendly and inviting! The cottage is very close to the Causeway, so put that on your list. Peaceful, relaxing environment and exactly what we needed. Cottage was perfect size and spotless!
I had a great time at Susan‘s cottage on the water and the best part for me was the mornings and soaking in the breathtaking views over the lake. Property was well appointed and communication with Susan was excellent.
Cute lakeside cottage has tremendous location right near the bike path and a short ride to Burlington. Susan was super easy to deal with and very helpful. In her communications. The outside layout is just perfect. We fished off the dock, kayaked etc. The cottage does need updating but it sounded like the owner was aware of it and prioritizing some repairs. Main feedback would be if you're a light sleeper or you have a larger family this is probably not the cabin for you as there's only one bedroom that gets dark enough to get a good night's sleep. With a few updates and some better amenities in the kitchen, this cabin would definitely be a five-star experience
A perfect cottage to relax, spend time with family and enjoy coffee with the beat sunrise! Everything was absolute amazing. We look forward to returning.
Beautiful watching the ice fishermen in the lake during my winter stay. Susan was a great host, and the scones were yummy. Short easy drive into the city center too.
We planned our stay on Lake Champlain for the total eclipse a year in advance. It was a fabulous location with relaxation inside and great wildlife right outside the amazing windows. Great host communication and hospitality.
We were in the area for UVM graduation and this as just the perfect place to stay. The owners thought of everything and the house was spotless. The views look like something out of a magazine! Thank you so much- the weekend was perfect!
We absolutely loved our stay! The house is clean and comfortable with great amenities like kayaks, a canoe, binoculars, lake front property with dock, and fire pit. Perfect location! There is a bike path nearby - great for biking or walking - and tennis courts not far, as well. It's 20 minutes to Burlington, and there's some nice hiking nearby also. Great weekend outdoors!
Loved staying at this serene cottage just steps away from an incredible bike trail across Lake Champlain and within close proximity to everything Burlington has to offer. The views from the cottage and the abundance of gorgeous flowers all around the property were amazing. Comfortable beds and linens, hot showers daily, nice fluffy towels, and provided coffee were all appreciated. Cute little touches throughout. We had a wonderful time.
The house is quaint, cozy, and full of light. The view is breathtakingly peaceful. We loved every moment of our stay. Bring your bikes, and you can cycle into Burlington on a lovely bike path with beautiful views. We will be back!!
This comfy cottage is in a quiet neighborhood yet only a few minutes ride from Burlington. Fantastic views of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains. The hosts are excellent and answer any questions you may have. Stop searching and choose this cottage for your stay.
We enjoyed relaxing in the recliners while enjoying the view - our first night a deer casually walked by- it was amazing! And also watched the hummingbirds in the flowers - property is adorable and we would have liked to stay longer! Host was so kind and attentive!
This was my second stay at the Lakefront Cottage. I love this place because it is cozy, comfortable, clean, and has gorgeous views. Susan is easy to communicate with. I will choose to stay here again and again.
You wont want to leave the cottage with this view!
wall to wall windows with 180 degree views of the lake and wildlife make it feel like you are part of the scene. So relaxing. Susan even left the basics in the kitchen and fridge and also some fresh flowers! We had a wonderful weekend with our UVM senior.
