House was perfect. Beautiful views. Every bedroom overlooks the lake so you couldn’t get a bad room. We cooked dinner one night and the house had everything we needed to enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. We also paddle boarded on the beach. Host was very responsive as well.
Wonderful views and location for visit with child at UVM. Plenty of space for family and dog. Park down the road for walks as well. Definitely will stay again!
Like all the other reviews said, the view was spectacular!! The house was extremely clean, very well stocked, and plenty of space! The pool table was very nice to have as a boredom buster. The location was great as well well with everything we needed within 15-20 minutes. We stayed in the fall/winter and would love to come back in the summer.
We loved our stay here! The place was somehow even better than the pictures! It was a great location, just a short drive to Burlington, and was a well stocked house! It was a beautiful view and the lake access was so nice! The property manager was also very responsive. Would come here every year!
We enjoyed our time here. The location is convenient and the view of the bay is fantastic with the screen porch. The kitchen is well equipped also and the basement with the pool table is clean. We enjoyed the paddle boards also. My mom visited and has a broken foot; the house is nice and flat for a roller and only has two steps to get in.Sleeping arrangements are where we found the house to struggle. There is a master bedroom, and then there is the rest of the house; the 6 beds in the loft and the sofa bed are all essentially in the same space as the kitchen, living room and front door from a sound point of view. If everyone is going to bed at the same time it’s probably ok, but if your plan is to have the kids go to bed and then to be awake as an adult, you’ll have to be quiet or else move to the screen porch. The house is also very close to the road, and on a few nights it only takes one motorcycle or large truck buzzing by to startle you awake. Overall my son really enjoyed having the loft to himself and would love to return to this property. Mallets Bay is a great area.
Great property and location. Giving four stars only because it’s not a luxury stay. It’s a great family place with a very well-equipped kitchen and fantastic view of the bay. We used the grill and sat outside. We really enjoyed it.
Beautiful location. Steph was awesome took great care of us. The view was gorgeous and the property had paddle boards to use.
Great spot would def book again
this cottage was lovely. bright & airy with beautiful loft highlighted by gorgeous wood beams. spacious, well - equipped kitchen and 2 full baths as well as a 1/2 bath. stunning view.
The house is beautiful, the views are amazing. Really appreciated that everything we needed was there including swim boards & life jackets. I did think the 2nd bedroom would be private & ended up being part of the loft area but we worked it out. The availability of the swim boards and
Our group ended up being fewer than planned but the property worked out great for our purposes! We were in the area for the University of Vermont graduation weekend and it was awesome to be able to book this property for just the 2 nights that we needed. The house is great and the view and proximity to Lake Champlain was perfect. We were able to catch sunsets on both our evenings there and they were beautiful. The location is close enough to Burlington and Winooski (we have kids in both locations!) that we could easily coordinate activities. We didn't really take advantage of the space or amenities this property has to offer, but it would be great for a larger group (we only ended up sleeping 4) and for spending more time enjoying the lake and yard and porch. Everything went perfectly with the host too. A great experience all the way around!
We were hoping to enjoy the lake, but the weather did not cooperate! We were happy to discover the pool table, in the basement, though... that saved us!! We were grateful that the AC was on when we got there, because the first day was very hot and humid. There are some things (radio music thing?) that are antiquated, the place is a wee bit dated, but it definitely served our purpose. we were there for our son's graduation from UVM. I suggest having some bug spray somewhere - there was some industrial stuff for the garden in the basement, but otherwise, not any anywhere, and we are from calif and do not travel with the stuff. Thank you!
