About this property
Sleeps 8 | Screened Hot Tub | 2 Ensuite Baths
Bearfoot Hideaway is a two-bedroom cabin in the Sky Harbor neighborhood, sitting almost exactly between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge — seven miles to one, seven and a half to the other. It was built in 2020, and it sleeps eight.
Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is the thing that makes this work for two families travelling together rather than one. There's a queen and a twin bunk in the first room, a queen in the second, and a queen sofa bed in the living room.
The hot tub is on a screened porch, so bugs and rain are somebody else's problem. Out on the deck there's a swing, hammocks, cornhole and a foosball table, and enough seating that eight people aren't taking turns. Inside, a gas fireplace runs October through March, a smart TV in each bedroom, and a kitchen set up to cook for a full house.
Distances - Downtown Gatlinburg: 7 miles - The Island, Pigeon Forge: 7.4 miles - Dollywood: 9.5 miles
Getting here and parking The driveway is semi-circular and holds three or four cars. The transition from the street is steep, so take it slowly in a low car — and if you're coming in winter or there's snow on the ground, a high-clearance, AWD or 4x4 vehicle is a much better idea. Approaching the cabin, the right-hand side of the driveway is the easier of the two.
There are 23 steps up to the front door.
The roads out here are ordinary neighborhood roads rather than the narrow switchbacks people picture when they think of the Smokies, so the driveway is the only part worth planning for.
Also worth knowing - Eight guests in two bedrooms works because of the bunk and the sofa bed, so it suits two families or a group happy to share rooms rather than one that needs a bed each in separate space. - The gas fireplace runs October through March. - All guests review and sign a rental agreement before check-in, and we recommend travel insurance. Hot tubs are drained, sanitized and refilled between stays, so yours may still be warming on the first night.
We're Magnolia Vacation Rentals, a veteran and family owned company here in the Smokies. If anything comes up while you're here, send us a message.
🎟️ Your stay includes $940 in complimentary tickets to attractions like Dollywood, the Ober Gatlinburg Tramway, and more—one free admission per activity, per day. Just book, show up, and enjoy the extras!
**Magnolia Vacation Rentals is not liable for any disruptions, damages, or cancellations caused by acts of God or weather-related events. In accordance with health and safety regulations, all hot tubs are drained, sanitized, and refilled between guest stays. As a result, the hot tub may require additional time to reach optimal temperature and may not be fully heated the first night of your stay. All guests are required to review and sign a renter’s agreement prior to check-in. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected changes or emergencies.**

We just got home from our stay and it was great. We had one small issue with the washer and after contacting the owner it was fixed immediately. The house was in good condition and we got to see quite a few bear! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!
Host was welcoming, everything was clearly communicated. The cabin was very clean and comfortable for our stay. We would defenitly love to return and enjoy a longer stay at this cabin.
This cabin is so beautiful. It slept 4 adults and 2 kids perfectly. Our host was AMAZING and we had excellent communications the entire process. It was a dream seeing the wildlife. Close to town but far enough away to enjoy peace outdoors. Thank you for everything! Book this place!!! By the way, there is a hot tub, foosball, and a closet full of games!!!
The cabin was well equipped and as pictured. Overall it was very clean, but there were a few cobwebs that the cleaning crew missed. Property management was very responsive and easy to communicate with!
We frequently travel to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area many times throughout the year, we typically like to always book somewhere different for the experience. However, I will definitely be returning to this cabin! The layout was one of our favorites we’ve had, perfect for a family! The location was excellent, wonderfully convenient! Cabin was cozy, clean and the owners were extremely polite, friendly and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to book again!
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! This cabin was a delight! We loved the hot tub and cornhole boards! Perfect location to visit the Smoky’s, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We cooked most of our meals there and had everything we needed in the kitchen and outdoor grill! Would definitely stay here again! Don’t forget to sign the book it’s super cute!
We stayed here for my best friends bachelorette party, and it was perfect! The drive isn’t too far from Gatlinburg or pigeon forge , just be mindful of the curvy roads. The house was perfect for our trip and the hot tub was definitely a great way to end our nights. I would absolutely book this house again!
We loved this cabin! It was a great setup for our family (2 adults and 3 kids). The kids loved having their own bunk room. The bathrooms were nice, kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean and well kept. We also used the hot tub a couple times and it was great too. The location was pretty good - close to the national park and other places of interest, but it does take a solid 12-15 to get to and from the main road each time you want to leave.
Wonderful clean space. The only con was the beds. Had nice hot water and plenty of space. Tim was my contact and he is a great guy that replied to any concern quickly.
This property had a slight modern looking design which we really enjoyed. We also liked that it was on a hill with the deck overlooking the street and woods. My teen daughters enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfortable. We were so happy to see a mom bear and her cub from the deck on our last evening stay!
The hot tub was great after a hike in the mountain. The cabin was very clean and in good condition. The queen bed in the single room was very comfortable. The queen bed next to the bunk beds was sagging and much less comfortable but still decent. The fireplace was not working. Check-in, check-out and communications were outstanding. Overall we had a great stay. Thank you!
Everything was great except the beds, I highly recommend new beds! The beds were extremely uncomfortable and so squeaky every time you moved it would make terrible noise! I actually had to sleep on the bottom bunk cause that mattress was more comfortable than the big beds, that wasn’t ideal either as I’m 6’4” tall. So other than terribly squeaky bed frame and extremely uncomfortable mattresses the location is great! And overall property is good. Host were kind and communicative.
Great, clean property with excellent communication to and from host. Only complaint is the driveway is a little difficult to get into, but that is not anyone’s fault. Great property!
We really enjoyed our stay and how close but yet far enough away from town. Driveway was a little crazy but we were driving trucks. The hot tub was the best.
This cabin was not the experience we were expecting by the reviews and description on VRBO. For starters, the floor made our feet black and there were several areas where questionable substances were on surfaces (vanity next to sink and toilet, floor going into bedroom and what looked like baby vomit on the couch bed.) The hottub smelled like.... beer?? The washing machine did not wring out our clothes, that was done by hand. The drive to the cabin while scenic was not was in the review either. It claimed no winding or steep roads-it was the exact opposite. If you don't like steep or curvy, this place isn't for you, it took about 15 minutes to get around and down to the main road, it was kinda a buzzkill for the trip.To top it off, the door handle to the front door became too loose as we were closing it for the night and literally fell off into my husband's hand. Thank goodness the deadbolt was still fastened as we had our children there. The only good things I can say is that the cabin had nice aesthetics and the communication with the property manager was good. We hadn't rented a cabin in a long time and we are very disappointed that this happened to be the one we booked.
