Unit was great and as advertised. Host was great and helpful when needed. The location is sketchy with homeless people living on the same block. During the day was okay to be outside, but I would not recommend walking around after dark.

Downtown Stay
If you’re looking for bare bones accommodations that meet accessibility needs this is an affordable location. The space is clean and wheelchair accessible. It was great to have an option that allowed our dogs to travel with us. We arrived an hour after our check-in time to the front door being ajar and the host in the space fixing the WiFi. It threw us off for a minute after a long drive. A heads up would have made all the difference. Additionally, WiFi never worked during our stay and the suggested solution didn’t work either. The building and apartment space are wheelchair accessible but the surrounding sidewalks and parking options are not. This is something to keep in mind if you’re booking for wheelchair needs. It’s a great location for downtown life but it is incredibly noisy late at night with loud people and car noises. We also experienced some disruptive and dangerous driving while walking our dogs for the bathroom at night. The space while clean is not well maintained. Bathroom vents hung open and batteries for ceiling fan remotes were dead without any available replacements. For an affordable and accessible rental in St. Louis this is not a bad option but it’s good to know what you’re getting into—loud, a little unkept, and not a place we liked to walk our dogs or ourselves at night. Also parking kinda sucks.

Response from VrboOwner on 3 June 2025
Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We're glad the space met your accessibility needs and that it was convenient for traveling with your dogs.
We truly apologize for the surprise at check-in—our goal is always to provide clear communication, and you're absolutely right that a heads-up would have made a big difference.
I'm also sorry the WiFi and remote didn’t work as expected during your stay. I would’ve been happy to continue troubleshooting; I even provided my personal login, which worked fine on my end. I always do my best to respond quickly and resolve issues, so I wish I had known the WiFi and remote were still causing trouble—I definitely would’ve stepped in to help more.
As noted in the listing, the location is in the heart of downtown, which can mean elevated street noise, especially on weekends. We understand that’s not ideal for every guest, particularly those walking pets at night.
Your feedback helps us continue to improve, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
