We had a wonderful time at Red Ohana. Laura was attentive and helpful, the house was comfortable and well appointed, and the location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to explore on the Big Island. Thank you for making our trip so relaxing.
House and amenities were perfect - everything exactly as advertised and the hosts were wonderful (great communication, advice, thoughtful). My family had an amazing week thanks to Red Ohana. We will definitely stay here again.

Laura was the best host I have ever had ! She was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful. Guiding us to plan the best family vacation ever (beaches, events, restaurants ) and every communication was sprinkled with kindness. The Red Ohana was fantastic !!! The home spacious, clean, beds comfortable, comforters and pillows were luxurious, lots of space for our family of five !! And the location was absolutely prime ! There’s nowhere else I would stay on the island ! If you’re considering staying here - a thousand percent YES ! It’s a home away from home !
We’ve stayed here the last 3 years for family vacation and it’s a great location for dining and cooler temps in Waimea while still being able to drive down to the beach every day.
The 3br Red Ohana was a great place to stay in a good, central location. The house was as advertised; clean, comfortable, and well stocked.

We rented the Ref Ohana 3 bedroom. It was spacious and comfortable. The beds were great. The kitchen and eating area were great for a group. The patio was beautiful. I’d definitely stay here again.
Excellent spot for stay in Waimea on the Big Island
Stay was clean and especially enjoyed the soft beds for being on vacation. Good amenities. Only concern was the driveway into the place as an elevated area, angling the car if your car rides low should be done with care.
This is a great place to stay in Waimea. Beautiful setting and immaculate home. Our host left a fabulous book of information about the big island which included local favorites and must do activities. We did a lot of driving because our activities were down in Volcano National Park and in Kona, but coming back to our restful house and eating locally each evening was perfect
Everything about our stay at the Red Ohana 3-bedroom was amazing! The home is beautifully maintained, thoughtfully equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Our property is both spacious and private, and the O"hanas were the original Parker Ranch caretakers' quarters. Once you explore the island, you will appreciate the mild, temperate climate. The property atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. Your access to Waimea town is a 5 minute drive and access to beautiful beaches is an easy, scenic 8 minute drive. It would be difficult to find a property with all of features and amenities for the same price elsewhere on the island. Sometimes local residents stay with us for their weekend getaway. Many parents stay with us when visiting their children who attend Hawaii Preparatory Academy and Parker Ranch School.
