Okay stay but some issues...
Our stay was pleasant overall. There were some issues that got resolved, however the customer service was lacking. The pros: the property is extremely safe, well maintained & the scenery is beautiful with tropical flowers & trees. We looked forward to the long walks to Jolly Beach & Ffryes Beach (we are avid hikers & enjoy the exercise). There is a smaller less 'kept' beach behind the villa as well. We loved waking up to the view of the harbor on the balcony every morning watching the sunrise! The air-conditioning worked great. The kitchen is the perfect size, complete with modern appliances & every kitchen tool to cook a proper meal. The washer & dryer in the storage room worked great. Cons: On our arrival our greeter advised us that the TV in the living room & 1 bedroom were out (the repair tech was there working). Only 1 of 3 TVs worked. The first night we spent hours trying to connect to WIFI as the host told us it was working. There was no hot water the first night. It got resolved the next day but the greeter told us we were not using the faucet correctly after she tinkered with the controls in storage room. How hard is it to move shower knobs from left to right & see if it lands on hot/cold water? I had a 38+ min phone call (using my own intl data) with the owner and rep from internet provider. I was asked to check the router for issues & ensure the WIFI code was correct. The owner eventually told me to just use the $10/day intl data plan from my service provider, which I was already doing but had already exhausted for the day & my internet speed was extremely slow as a result. We chose the villa based on ability to use WIFI. It was a major deciding factor. We didn’t have WIFI for 3.5 days, incurred unexpected fees from service providers & missed important deadlines. Other cons were the uncomfortable mattresses in the 2nd bedroom, furnishings were VERY cheap & delicate. The unit could use some repairs to cracks in walls/ceiling. We were unable to use bikes as the host didn't have the codes for the locks. We weren’t shown amenities unless we asked: gym, pool, tennis courts, etc. We weren’t shown how to use the water machine where we could have just purchased water bottles at the store to use. For the price, we could have stayed at a hotel & had less issues. Things happen, but it was the lack of professionalism that caused the experience to sour. Things were eventually worked out, the greeter & owner kept us updated regarding the issues.
