Bring the kids and experience a farm stay they’ll never forget.

Located just 36 miles from Yosemite National Park and 26 miles from Bass Lake, our charming farmhouse sits on 10 private woodland acres in beautiful Mariposa. This is more than a place to sleep — it’s a hands-on farm experience designed to slow down, explore, and make lasting family memories.

Children absolutely love meeting our friendly miniature donkeys, sheep, goats, emus, and water buffalo. As a working farm, guests are welcome to interact with many of the animals, creating the kind of moments you just can’t get in the city. It’s common to see deer wandering through the property, adding to the magic of the mountain setting.

There’s plenty of room for kids to run, explore, and play across all 10 acres. Let them unplug, breathe fresh air, and experience nature up close while you relax and take in the beautiful mountain views.

After a day exploring Yosemite or swimming at Bass Lake, gather around the seasonal fire pit (firewood provided) and enjoy stories, s’mores, and star-filled skies. With little light pollution, the stargazing here is incredible.

Our home is located at the top of the property, giving you privacy while we remain nearby and available if you need anything during your stay. We love sharing our farm and helping families create meaningful, joyful experiences.

Whether you’re hiking in Yosemite, boating at Bass Lake, or simply looking for a peaceful escape where your kids can meet donkeys and roam free, our farm stay offers a unique blend of adventure and relaxation.

I loved our stay. The house was clean, kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes in order to cook meals. Open space to gather with family, the farm animals are friendly and fun to interact with. I would definitely recommend.

Most hospitable family and farm experience. Close proximity to Yosemite for hiking and sightseeing. Comfortable home with everything you could ask for and more, immersed in nature. Trails, farm animals, a personal atv tour of the area from our host Wade and sunset by the blazing fire pit under the old oak tree. Pure serenity and peace. We will return for sure! Loved it.

Great place to stay as a base for Yosemite. Booked for a family trip during spring break with my adult and teenage kids. The main room was nice and open, lots of light and a whole house fan helped cool the place down when needed. Was able to cook several meals with the provided items in the kitchen, no in sink garbage disposal so food scraps have to go in trash. Everything was as advertised, nice quiet spot to relax in between treks. Also the farm animals (mainly donkeys) gave it an extra cozy feel. Host was very friendly, made sure we didn't have any issues and gave us more info on the animals. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great time and perfect for our family (2 adults and 4 elementary aged kids). Proximity to Yosemite was why we chose it, but the farm animals were a great added bonus and lots of fun for the kids.

Successful Yosemite Trip

Me and 5 others arrived here on the 13th. We were immediately greeted by Mr Gibson who gave us a tour of the property! Got to see the Emu, the Water Buffalo and her Calf, all 5 donkeys, the Cat orangie, and of course their awesome Dog. Incredible stay and the place was super clean. Very it is about an hour drive from the south entrance to Yosemite. Great location! Thank you for the stay!

This was one of the best family vacations we have had. Becky and Wade are really great people. Wade gave us an awesome tour of the property and animals. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property! We stayed with 3 generations: my parents, my partner and I, and our 2 year old twins. The house itself was clean and well-equipped, and the hosts were so lovely and communication was top notch. We were given a tour of the property and all of the host's animals on the day we arrived, and we had lovely visitors of a cat, donkeys, goat, sheep, and dogs every day (which my 2 year old twins absolutely loved!) It was a great location from which to explore Yosemite - we did Mariposa Grove and swimming nearby, followed by Tunnel View and Bridalveil falls the following day, both 1-1.5 hours away. The hosts were very responsive to any questions, and the rural location was quiet and private. We will definitely stay again if ever in the area!

This place is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The coolest rental. When I wasn't spending my time wandering around Yosemite or the Sierra National Forest I spent my time wandering around the beautiful property grounds. I sat in random places and got to know the animals. This rental was the best. So peaceful yet so fulfilling. I don't often return to places, but I really hope to come back. I will stay again in a heartbeat. Super clean, very spacious and you get to borrow not just this hidden gem, but their furry family also! Don't hesitate to book this rental. The hosts were both very friendly but very much gave my my privacy. Everything was perfect.
