We had an amazing stay! We absolutely loved the house and all the space it offered. Even with the rainy weather, we didn’t feel stuck inside — the beautiful windows and peaceful tree setting made it feel cozy and relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind, rain or shine. We would happily stay again!

Perfect place to enjoy family and the northern CA area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Manchester. The VRBO was fantastic. Spacious, well stocked, and quiet. We did not get to Irish Beach but wish we had. We would recommend this home to anyone hoping for a nice get away.
The Chalet is very comfortable, clean, well-loved and so quiet! Our family had such a cozy weekend here. The loft was so much fun for our kids (6 and 10). The creek is a nice background sound with windows open or on the deck. The hot tub was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. We had a couple movie nights (brought our own DVDs) We loved staying here and would love to go back!Notes: the forrest view is amazing and magical (there is no ocean view), the pond was disappointing as it has not been well cared for, but that’s just from a 10 year old who loves to fish.
We love this neighborhood and stay there every year. Quiet place with friendly neighbors and access to our favorite little private beach down the road. The property was pretty and comfortable and we all really enjoyed taking some time away there to wind down and relax
My family and I (husband & 2 teens) came up to spend some quality family time. This place really delivered. We enjoyed nights in the hot tub as well as family bbq dinners. We watched the sunset at Irish Beach and saw a few deer on the road back to the chalet. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We spent the days exploring the coast and even made it to the Arena Theatre to watch “How to train your dragon”.. A great little theatre built in 1928. Overall we would love to come back again!!

Thank you for your awesome review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Creekside Chalet and will welcome you back again at any time.
We were two couples and our beloved pups staying few days looking to intensely relax, eat great home cooked food, do local hikes, read a book, play board games.. we got all that in this lovely home! Everything was super clean and very comfortable! Highly recommended! In addition super grateful to Michele, local guest contact who super promptly found and sent me earrings I left in the home!
Beautiful days on the coast w wild winter weather at Irish Beach. The house was very accommodating for our 3 couples and a dog. Deer hang out in the yard all the time.
Six middle aged couples stayed for a long weekend exploring the area. Cooked at house for all meals and lacked nothing. Did some wine tasting, Mendocino town visit, but most of all enjoyed each others' company through games and conversations. Be prepared to drive around for the attractions, but the sceneries were enriching. No complaints. Will stay again.
My husband, our dog and I enjoyed our stay at this home. It was clean, adequately stocked with necessities. It’s near a beautiful beach and neighborhood. The patio has adequate seating and access. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly book again.
A few things to know in advance for others: This house is in a small town where the closest grocery store and restaurant is 20-25 min drive away, so prepare accordingly. Also, the private beach is a mile away. The broader property is beautiful but not fenced, so need to watch your dog.
The management / owner was easy to communicate with and we had a good time.

Great property, beautiful setting, no internet
Beautiful location. Hot tub was small, but a great addition. Satellite link never worked, so was not able to get internet, which was an awful experience overall given the peaceful setting, but somewhat annoying, and there was no response from the contact listed in the information binder, which was not good.

John, thanks for taking the time to leave us this review! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall, but we apologize for the issues you encountered! We have passed your feedback along to the homeowner and the caretaker so that the satellite issue can be rectified, and are addressing the communication concerns as well to ensure future guests do not have the same problem. They have let us know that WiFi coverage can be a little spotty due to the location of the property, but they have purchased the best package available in an attempt to mitigate issues for guests. Thanks so much for letting us know! Best, The Evolve Team
Myself and my partner spent 6 days at Creekside Chalet last week. The property is gorgeous and in a quiet neighborhood. The house has plenty of rooms for a family. We were expecting another couple but they cancelled last minute due to a health emergency.
We really loved the well stocked kitchen as well as the comfy beds. Having private access to the nearby beach was an added bonus. We spent the day watching the waves on a huge stretch of beach.
Oh did I mention the hot tub? Fabulous big tub you can use in the morning or evening. We did both. There’s nothing better than starting your day off by soaking in a hot tub surrounded by beautiful redwood trees. Neighbors were very friendly as well. You won’t regret renting this home. It was such a healing experience for us.

There were two primary concerns that impacted our stay: **Refrigerator Ice Dispenser:** Upon using the ice dispenser, I discovered a concerning amount of mold and residue inside the unit. **Hot Tub:** The hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose your property. Unfortunately, it had an unpleasant odor and visible dirt and oil buildup, which made it unusable. There were also some maintenance issues around the area, such as limited lighting, a dead bird stuck under the gate door. I understand some of these could be beyond their control, the overall condition of the hot tub was disappointing.Additional observations included:- Dirty baseboards and walls throughout the property- Food particles found on a decorative pillow in the upstairs bedroom- Smudges on mirrors and a significant amount cobwebs surrounded the gorgeous windows.-Given that the skylight opens up to a porch, it could be easily cleaned, perhaps the cleaners were unaware. Despite being one of the coolest features, its dirtiness detracted from its appeal.- Most of the dishes required cleaning before we felt comfortable using them.It was ashame because our experience would have been much better had some basic cleaning (that would be expected for the price) been done. Its been 5 days since I sent these issues to the properties contact but have yet to get any response. Overall I would have to say that this should be ones last choice if needed but a hotel room experience would have been better.

From the owner: "We always want our guests to have the best experience possible, and we’re sorry to hear you encountered some issues during your trip. We wish we’d had the chance to address these items during your stay, as our on-site manager lives a short distance away and can handle same-day concerns. We’re also making that contact information even more prominent in the arrival materials.- The hot tub is cleaned after each stay, and we’ve instructed our maintenance person to drain, sanitize, and replace the filters. The hot tub is nestled in an old-growth redwood grove, so wildlife like blue jays and hummingbirds is abundant; we’re sorry we didn’t find the fallen bird before your arrival. This is a dark-sky community, so lighting is intentionally limited to enhance stargazing.- Cleanliness is a top priority for us. We’ve asked our cleaning service to disassemble and sanitize the refrigerator’s ice bin and replace the filter. The dishwasher is relatively new, but we’ll have it checked to ensure it's cleaning thoroughly. We’ve reminded the team to check for smudges on mirrors and to give extra attention to baseboards, walls, and high windows for cobwebs during scheduled deep cleans. We take pride in the positive feedback we receive about cleanliness, and are sorry we fell short of your expectations. We’ve addressed your concerns with the relevant teams so future guests receive the exceptional service we strive to provide."

Quiet and Secluded
We were looking forward to a week of quiet and tranquility. The home was in a great location and the layout was great. That being said the rest of the stay was extremely disappointing. The kitchen is in need of some serious deep cleaning, the cabinets are filthy on the outside, the microwave hood vent is full of grease and debris which was dropping down onto the cooktop while cooking, pot holders and placements where filthy, most of dishes and utensils, and cookware needed to be cleaned, there is a serious lack of quality cookware and utensils, knives to work with the only nonstick pan is completely scratched and the nonstick coating missing, The master bathroom had mold along the shower exterior and at the bottom of the shower enclosure. In the upstairs loft closet the entire shelf was covered with rat feces. As far as smoke detectors go the master bedroom unit was missing a battery and unit in the bedroom leading into the garage had a dead battery (hence the chirping all night) All walls & base boards need a deep cleaning/painting. The return air vent was filthy and several heating and air vents were rusty. The fireplace did not work which was disappointing because we had rainy days and would have been nice on the days. Direct TV was sketchy but we luckily brought our fire stick so that worked out great. The large couch shown in the living room was completely broken down which made it so low to the ground that these two old people had a heck of a time getting up and down with our bad backs. There was not a adequate supply of T/P and paper towels and no Kleenex or dinner napkins. We had to run to the store and get more. The spa was great but has a real lack of lighting going to the the spa at night. The cost of this property is on the higher end in our opinion (since there is no ocean view) I suppose we have come to expect more in this price range. I know that all the reviews I have read from past visitors have been excellent but not in our case which is unfortunate as this place could be a real jewel.

Hi Lori, the homeowner has asked us to share this response:
- We are so sorry that the Chalet was not up to your expectations. We try very hard to ensure the best possible experience for our guests and are concerned that you were disappointed.
- The couches are not broken, but they are built low to the ground, so they are not as easy to stand from as higher seats.
- Our cleaning service usually does a thorough job, but we have ordered a rigorous deep clean in addition to the regular cleaning.
- We wish you had alerted the on-site manager that the fireplace was not working and that you did not have an adequate supply of TP and towel paper, as she could have responded quickly to remedy these issues.
Again, we apologize that you were disappointed with your stay and are working hard to address every issue. It is our goal that Creekside Chalet is indeed a “real jewel” for all our guests.

Post stay issue
The place and the stay were lovely. This review involves customer service post-stay.
An item was left behind, and we reached out immediately to see if we could get it returned. There was a brief (and pleasant) email exchange indicating they did indeed find our item and were happy to return it - we offered of course to pay for mailing. Over a month later, and several emails attempting to follow up, we have neither received the item nor have had ANY response to our further emails.
The item was not high value, but the return of it would have been most appreciated (and not of great difficulty to do) - and being 'ghosted' leaves such a negative impression that we probably won't return.

Hi Deborah, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: "We are very sorry this matter has taken so long to resolve. The item is large and bulky and the property manager let you know that it is taking a bit longer to find an appropriately-sized box and get to the small village post office during its short opening hours. We sincerely appreciate your patience, the item will be mailed as soon as possible. We are glad you enjoyed your visit to the Chalet as our goal is to provide guests with the best stays possible!"
We spent five cold and rainy nights over the holidays, and having a comfortable, warm, and scenic home allowed for lots of indoor quality time. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.
Great home and location but Home it’s self needs TLC
Arrived for a four day stay with family, property and home from the outside looked very nice cozy and quiet. Upon our arrival there was two towels for four people , Called our contact person that I was given to try and get more towels, never got a call back in the four days of our stay. We did finally after a thorough search of the house found Towels in the dryer, they Should have been put out for us. Dishes pots and pans top of the refrigerator and microwave were all very dirty and We ended up cleaning all items ourselves before use. All three bathrooms were clean except for the bathtub upstairs which had a wad of hair On the shower wall. Shampoo was available although there were no bars of soap in the house. The hot tub was beautiful but very run down . There was one headrest that was left out of for the one was sitting on the side of the hot tub area the top to the hot tub was very hard to get off due to the fact that it was broken and torn in half the cover over the filter was cracked and the inside of the tub needed to be cleaned of Tree and leave debris also flies and mosquitoesbefore used

Hi Todd, The homeowner was sorry to hear that your experience fell short, and they wanted to let you know what they've done to address your feedback:
- The owner spoke with their on-site manager, who let them know that they had a different cleaner prepare the property for your reservation since they were away
- They apologize that she did not meet their high standards for cleaning and hope that the measures they took to compensate you for the issues made things right
- Maintenance cleans the hot tub for each new guest and has not reported any issues, but the owner has asked them to look into any problems with the headrest
The owner apologizes again that their local team missed the mark on their usual hospitality, and they'd love the chance to provide you with a truly 5-star stay the next time you're in Manchester!
This property is very comfortable and family friendly. It is well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It is very close to a beautiful private beach and a short drive to Mendocino and Fort Bragg.
The Chalet is a perfect place for a family respite. Great spaces inside and out. Very well stocked in kitchen, everything a big familyi needs. The Spa is the icing on the cake.

Nice spot in a Beautiful part of the world
We enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub and access to Irish Beach. The house is comfortable, but a bit dusty. We tried to contact the property manager via email and phone call before we arrived with questions but never heard back. Luckily we had no issues, because she never checked in with us all week. The kitchen is fairly well stocked, but no cleaning supplies. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we love the area. It’s quiet, beautiful and relaxing.
We loved the Irish Beach area. Highly recommend this home for a quiet, secluded stay. Beautiful drives to local state parks and beautiful beaches. The great windows in the back of the house make for beautiful sunrise mornings.
