We stayed 3 nights at The River Cabin. Everything was as described and the access to the water was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Spent most of our time in the water or on the deck overlooking the river. We will be staying here again!

About the host
Hosted by Catherine Lynn Horton
I grew up going to summer camp in Hardy, Ark. I learned to swim and canoe in the river and made life-long friendships there. I have pursued the mountains, deserts, and all types of water over the years. Yet, as an adult, this area called me back. Now I have the chance to share it all and nothing makes me happier. Reconnect with nature and the personal touches of this small town.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is located at the original YWCA Camp Miramichee on the Southfork River. Camp Miramichee was founded in 1916 as a retreat for girls and ran until 1989. My husband has owned this cabin for over twenty years and we have shared it with the public for the last several years. This is one of the prettiest sections of the Southfork River. The Southfork joins the Spring River about a mile downstream at High Falls. There is a private park across the river with a half mile of riverfront for camping and fishing. Enjoy watching the horses roam free across the river from your private deck and waterfront.
What makes this property unique
- Excellent river location! - Miramichee Falls is absolutely stunning, just downstream from the cabin. It is about a 2-foot drop all the way across the river. - River depth is great for swimming, fishing, floating, wading. The water depth at the dock is about waist-deep. It is shallower just downstream and has a deeper pool beside the cabin just upstream. - Amazing covered deck! - Kayaks for use around the cabin area. - 2 miles to Hardy or Cherokee Village. - Raft, canoe, kayak the Spring River with outfitters as close as 2 miles from the cabin.
