The Cabin on Five Moon Ranch is a serene desert retreat with 360° views. The perfect getaway, with all the creature comforts including stylish furnishings, comfy organic mattress, and luxurious amenities. We all love stargazing from the bed! Our cabin is a "penthouse on the sand", one returning guest declared. We've created a casual, creative space in nature to refresh and unwind from city life. Surrounded by rose quartz crystal beds, the property itself has a magical energy. We have surrounded the exterior with found crystals that serve as protection. The cabin is equipped with an outdoor bathtub for soaking under the stars and a rejuvenating steam shower for desert re-hydration and max relaxation. The cabin is on 5 acres, surrounded by public land, a secluded sanctuary of creosote, crystal beds, and dark, clear skies. Enjoy the outdoors or immerse yourself in creative pursuits in and around our property. Our detached office has a printer and a computer monitor, perfect for a podcast or video conference. Chillax with a film on the Frame Smart TV. Spin vinyl on the record player. Enjoy some literature from our extensive library. The stocked kitchen has appliances and cookbooks for any culinary endeavor. There are boulders to hike and explore just a 10-minute walk away, and a hike with petroglyphs 2 miles away. The famed Integretron, where you can book a soundbath, is a 10-minute drive from the cabin. On your way, grab an amazing brunch at La Copine Kitchen. The amazing Joshua Tree National Park is just 30 minutes away. Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree & Pioneer Town are nearby if you're looking for music, art, dining & outdoor activities. We are 45 minutes from Palm Springs and Coachella Valley - perfect for flying in and out and recovering from the festivals.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
2 house-trained dogs. Crate them if left alone. Do not leave unattended outside. No charge for service dogs, notify if you are bringing one.
There is no street parking. Please park all vehicles inside the gates of the property. If you have a large truck/trailer/van, let us know in advance
There are no outdoor fires or BBQs allowed unless approved in advance. The wind is crazy and the brush is usually too dry.

This was the perfect place for my tranquil winter escape! Very spacious with all the amenities I needed while still being surrounded by nature. Stephanie was very responsive and made the stay even better. Highly recommend!

Host is argumentative and victim blames. Of the many issues we had, of utmost importance is that she violated gov't code by failing to respond to our 9:45pm message for help (locked out) until abt 11 HRS later. Admittedly, it was my fault for believing that a key that was left in the kitchen would unlock the manual lock on the front door (it doesn't), but that doesn't excuse her violation of code requiring her to respond w/in 30 minutes after a problem is reported. She claims she was "fast asleep" and didn't hear the phone ring. But when I called, the call went right to voice mail, meaning she either turned off the phone, blocked calls or just chose not to answer. I called VRBO for help and they tried to contact her multiple times with no response. If it hadn't been for my husband figuring out how to get in about 1.5 hours later, we would have been left out in the cold all night. If we had needed medication locked in the house this could have ended very badly. When she finally responded the next morning (no call, just a message), it was simply a list of house info stating not to manually lock the front door. BTW, the info in the house doesn't mention the front door lock, but the digital info she sent states if you happen to manually lock the door (they know its a problem), there's a hidden key, but they fail to say where that key is. She did refund 100 later the next afternoon after I pointed out the code violation. IRRESPONSIBLE and DANGEROUS host. There's much more. . . .
This is a dead bird encircled by stones left outside the bedroom window that we had to dispose of. I found it to be creepy and disgusting.
Other than one blind in the bathroom, there are no blinds in this house. Add that to the fact that there are cameras surrounding the house gives a creepy, watched feeling. And what are those heavy duty hooks in the ceiling for?
The description of the property is 5 acres. But in actuality, the host has only a small portion of the acreage fenced in, within which you must park your vehicle. This property is not KOH or offroading friendly. The 5 acre description is misleading

Our property, as a dear friend put it, is a "penthouse dropped in the middle of the desert". We have all the creature comforts of a city apartment, out in the middle of the Mojave.
