Inside, you’ll find room to spread out and unwind, with 9 comfortable beds, plus 4 air mattresses, (One king, one queen, five doubles, two twin, and four twin-size air mattresses)—plenty of cozy spots for everyone to rest after a day of fun.
The rec room is a guest favorite—fully equipped with free weights, a bench, yoga mats, an air hockey table, and a stunning 75” smart TV. Whether you're staying active or kicking back, you'll feel right at home. Prefer a slower pace? Settle into the hammock with a good book or enjoy morning coffee in the sunroom while deer wander by. It's truly peaceful.
Outdoor games include, corn-hole, basketball, poleish, even a golf pin in the meadow to chip up to, we have a few wedges just for fun.
And when it comes to meals? The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for anything—from big family breakfasts to gourmet dinners. Want to take it up a notch? We can even arrange for a personal chef so you can savor every moment without lifting a finger.

Odyssey of the Mind

Don't miss out on Rustic River Retreat! The main house was perfect for our family of eight. Very well maintained. Sits far back in the woods. Very peaceful and quiet. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay! Communication with Brian was great! Don't miss out!

Refreshing

Our family stayed at The Main House during a swimming championship meet at the Spire Institute. Very convent to/from Spire. The house was extremely clean, the grounds were neatly landscaped. We all relaxed and enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor games. Never missed anything! The house and outside areas provided great R/R for our weary swim family. The owner was receptive and helpful to all the questions I had.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

We stayed in the Main House and Game room for the weekend for my husband's 40th Birthday. We could not have asked for anything better. The Main House is gorgeous with plenty of room and has everything you need. We were able to cook our meals, have a fire outside, take a walk through the woods and so much more. We really enjoyed the privacy. It felt as if you were entering a hidden gem as your drove back into the property. The Game Room was a huge hit as well with the pool table, card table and pinball machine. Thanks again and we hope to make this an annual celebration!

Couldn’t have been better

Excellent experience with the owner, Brian. The kitchen is better than the picture and the picture is awesome! Lots of pots, pans mixing bowls, plates, etc. Very clean when we arrived. Plenty of bathrooms. As stated in the description, it is well water. BUT the well water is awesome- no sulpher or iron- just ice cold water right out of the tap. Bedrooms and beds are very nice. The setting is more wooded and private than anticipated. We also rented the game house. Pool table, card table, game system and an antique pinball machine. One suggestion (a super minor one) the dart board is magnetic tips- I’m sure it is for safety for little ones. There is a cork board behind the board so I bet it would be fine to hang your own horsehair board and play metal tips if you wanted. Our crew was made up of 47 year old men-boys, high school friends. The accommodations were only secondary to the company. Renters get so much for the money 10 star recommendation to anyone viewing Rustic Retreats. Thank you Brian for making everything so easy. Friends and family gathering space

A great house in a lovely setting. Plenty of space, clean, huge rooms. Kitchen was perfect. Beautiful quiet setting. Large multipurpose room was perfect for a gathering of friends. Table and chairs provided. Communication with owner was easy.

The Main House was perfect for our size family. We had New Years/Birthday celebrations and the accommodations were exactly what we needed. The house was well stocked and everything was mapped out where things were located which was super helpful. We also enjoyed the trails located around the property.

A great family location

The Main House is just right for a large family and friends. The location is convenient to many locations. The property is very peaceful and you feel Like you are in a private estate. Even though there were others in the other cabins we felt like we had the property to our selves. Everything is provided for both inside and outside activities. The trails are nice to explore. Highly recommended.

Family reunion

Unique place. Truly a rustic retreat. Great for families or friends to spend time together yet allows privacy if you are renting more than one unit on the property. We enjoyed our stay. On the negative side: microfiber sheets (wish they were cotton) and the fact that we had to bring toilet paper. Now that TP shortages are behind us, I hope that can be amended.

Family retreat

Our family of 11 (grandparents to grandkids) had a great time. The house is as advertised and the large grounds, 2 fire pits and pond were so relaxing and fun. We did rent the Game Cabin too. So much fun playing pool, cards and pin ball.
