Weekend trip

I'll start with the pluses: the property was clean, check in was easy, location was close to where we were going, plenty of room for my husband, two of our kids, and me, had streaming services for entertainment when we weren't gone, the jet tub was nice. There was a stove, microwave, and small coffee pot. Area was sketchy, but no one bothered us.The negatives (and not all were the owner's fault): as soon as we walked in, my husband and I could smell marijuana (could have been a previous renter and not necessarily the owner's fault), I feel like money could have been better spent on more comfortable beds than smart appliances. My husband and I were both sore even though he actually prefers a firm mattress. There were no dishes other than silverware and styrofoam plates. No cups or glasses other than wine glasses. We ended up going to a store close by and buying our own glass plates, coffee cups, and cups for the kids. There wasn't any dish detergent for us to use the dishwasher (we ended up buying some of that too because we didn't want to leave a mess). The fridge didn't work. I feel like that should have been checked prior to our arrival, but it could have stopped after he had already come by. We had to throw out almost all of the cold items we bought because we didn't know until we had already gone to the store. Money could have also been spent on new cookware, a toaster, and probably some games or toys for families/kids.
