The host did a wonderful job communicating, fully explaining everything we needed to know for a smooth check-in! Such a fun place with lots of fun little surprises around every corner. It was such a fun, magical stay for my kids and I! The beds were comfy, and we had everything we needed for a great nights rest. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location to Meow Wolf

Took my son and his friend to Meow Wolf for his birthday. This place is about a half block from it. Such a fun space to go with the weirdness of Meow Wolf.

The place allows pets. We are a fur baby family. Receiving the dog rules 2hrs before arrival, not great. There are some beautiful, delicate items in the space. We DO RESPECT every place we rent. My rating will support that. No dogs on the furniture forced us to create barriers. Just put the rules out there: "Tiny dogs in crates are welcome,". Trash bags - one single trash bag in the place and a warning about sugar ants. The host did drop off 1 more bag on our second day, after we made a trip to Walmart. Kitchen towels ended up with ants, which is not something I would expect the host to fix, that's nature. But the one roll of paper towels did not help the situation. The shower in the middle of the space is pictured and it is exactly as pictured. Not a great option for more than one couple, and a little questionable getting in and out. The bathroom pictured in the trailer is not for use; again, the rules are just before arrival. It's a cool space. The Host communicated through the app. It is very dark and there are A LOT of extension cords. The dog barrier reduced our seating options, and a broken chair was found on arrival. The weed shop next door has an odor. Overall, it was ok and it would have been better if we had the rules when we were considering the booking.

Dark Encampment

Cute place but very dim inside. Need to buy insurance in order to stay here as everything is so fragile. Would not recommend for family with small children as too many rules and stairs are steep and slippery. Shower cute but not feel safe and no vanity in restroom. Definitely feels more like you’re roughing it rather than staying in a VRBO. Says pet friendly and did not mention about a fee before hand but got a request after checking in for a 50 pet fee.

Hi Adriana, it is mentioned in the listing that there is a pet fee. You decided to try and get away with showing up with your dog and not paying the pet fee so we sent a request for the additional fee.

It’s really hard to leave a review for a place we spent 45 minutes at and booked a hotel instead of staying there. There is a dispensary next door which was causing problems for one person in our group that has asthma. We spent 30 minutes looking for light switches, the bed in the camper is not fit for 2 adults even if it was they would wake up with back problems. The description doesn’t mention that and you don’t find out until after the cancellation period. In our quest for light switches you see a fire hazard where several extension cords go back to 1 outlet. The shower is in the center of the room so anyone going upstairs gets a full view. I messaged the host of problems and have never heard a response. I loved the idea especially since it is right across from meow wolf but it was the first time I didn’t stay at the location and really disappointed the host failed to respond. The only reason the rating is more than a 1 is because it was very easy to book, check in and it was clean for a campsite vibe.

Hi Kim, this is completely inaccurate. Yes there is a dispensary next-door but it does not affect anything within the unit. There was a wildfire in the Santa Fe national Forest during your stay and that was the reason for your friends issues with her asthma. Your attempt to Slander my VRBO because you wanted a refund to go stay at a hotel That you had already booked is really a shame because we go above and beyond to please our guests.
